Born and raised in Marianna, Florida, to parents Zechariah Sr. and Lena, Kristan is a true blend of grace, strength, and determination. A proud, two-time graduate of Florida A&M University, she continued her postgraduate education and earned the degree of Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of North Florida. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, incorporated and a proud and avid member of Greater United COCWIH. Today, she serves as the Complex Health Services Administrator at the Federal Prison in Coleman, FL — a role that speaks to both her leadership and compassion. Kristan and Ray first met while working at FCI Tallahassee. What started as a simple friendship slowly grew into something much deeper — a connection neither of them expected, but one that felt completely meant to be. Over time, their paths intertwined in the most beautiful way, leading them here: to a celebration of love, family, and the beginning of forever.
Ray Coleman, Jr.
Groom
Ray grew up a military child with the values of discipline, respect, and resilience. He too, is also a veteran of the United States Army. Ray also pursued higher education, beginning at Jackson State University and graduating from the University of Memphis. He later earned a master’s degree in criminal justice from Lamar University. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, and has also been a vocal advocated for others. He is enjoying a successful career within the Federal Prison System, where he has worked his way up through the ranks with integrity and leadership. He currently serves as the Executive Assistant at FCI Atlanta. Ray met Kristan while working at FCI Tallahassee. Their shared passion for helping and advocating for others laid the foundation for a strong friendship — one that neither of them expected would turn into a love story. With time, laughter, and a deep mutual respect, their paths became one, leading to this beautiful celebration of their forever.

Trenecia is Ray’s daughter and has proudly held the title of the family's one and only baby girl for 18 of her 19 years — a role she wears with grace, confidence, and just the right amount of sass. Kristan met Mike in the fast-paced halls of the ER at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, and it didn’t take long to realize they had more in common than just saving lives — they were both in nursing school at FAMU. From that moment on, an instant friendship was born. Through clinicals, exams, long shifts, and plenty of laughs, Mike and Kristan quickly earned the nickname “Partners in Crime.” His loyalty, quick wit, and heart of gold have made him one of Kristan’s closest friends, and having him stand by her side on this special day is just another adventure in their unforgettable journey together.
