Kristan and Ray’s journey began at FCI Tallahassee, where fate quietly set the stage for a remarkable connection. Their paths first crossed when Kristan sought Ray’s guidance regarding workplace matters. Ray was immediately impressed by her depth of knowledge, confidence, and dedication. What began as a simple request for help soon grew into a professional partnership built on mutual respect and admiration. Recognizing Kristan’s natural leadership, Ray encouraged her to take on a greater role and the two partnered together to advocate for their colleagues. Through this avenue, the two developed a strong friendship—unaware that their passion for this shared purpose was the foundation of something much deeper. In time, Ray transitioned to FCC Coleman as a supervisor, and once again inspired Kristan to pursue leadership within the agency. She later accepted a management position at FCI Jesup, where the two often turned to each other for guidance, support, and encouragement as they navigated their new roles.
