Hailey and Ray met during the initial quarantine of this pandemic on a popular online dating site, Bumble. They exchanged social media’s and phone numbers and started to get to know each other well and spent numerous hours texting, snapchatting and sharing funny tweets. It was obvious they had a connection. The two met up for a date in Oceanside on May 29 where they went for a drive, ate Chick-fil-a and watched the sunset. Hailey and Ray connected super well on their date and they both knew there was something special between them!
Ray had known from the first initial months of being with Hailey that he wanted to spend his life with her. He even purchased the ring way before the proposal! He then asked Hailey's parents for permission to marry their daughter and they couldn't have been happier to have an amazing man like Ray ask for their permission. Hailey and Ray went to go visit Ray's family in Dallas, Texas and while there he told Hailey that he wanted to have photos done with her so that they could remember this time in their life. Ray's close family friend, Courtney Maxwell, met up with Hailey and Ray at the Shops at Legacy in Plano, Texas to stage a "couples photoshoot". Courtney sent Ray and Hailey across the refection pond at the location and while they were taking pictures, Ray got down on one knee and popped the question! With an overwhelming sense of joy Hailey said yes! They then continued their photo shoot into an engagement shoot!
