Question

What is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Saturday, April 18th, 2026

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, there is a dress code: Garden Semi-Formal—Dressy, but relaxed! For women, think cocktail dresses, flowy midi or maxi dresses, or jumpsuits—florals and soft colors fit right in. For men, slacks with a button-down shirt or a suit (tie optional) are perfect. Just keep in mind that the ceremony will be outdoors, so choose shoes that can handle grass (block heels, wedges, or flats are a good idea!). Reception will be held indoors.

Question

What's the weather like in May on San Juan Island?

Answer

Spring on the island is beautiful but can be unpredictable—think mild temps with a chance of rain. We recommend dressing in layers and bringing a light jacket, just in case.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope you enjoy a night off to relax and celebrate with us!

Question

How do I get to Friday Harbor?

Answer

The easiest way to get to the island is by ferry from Anacortes, WA. Ferries run regularly, and we recommend checking the schedule ahead of time to plan your trip. If you’re bringing a vehicle, reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekends. For the most up-to-date ferry schedule, visit the Washington State Ferries website.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors and reception will be indoors.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

If your invitation says ‘and guest,’ then yes! Otherwise, we’re keeping it intimate.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM. Please plan to arrive a bit early so you're comfortably seated before we begin.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

There are several great lodging options in and around Roche Harbor. We will have a room block for wedding guests who would like to lodge at the resort. We recommend booking early, as May can get busy! Check out the "Travel" page for more information.

Question

I have dietary restrictions. Will there be options?

Answer

Absolutely—just let us know when you RSVP and we’ll make sure you’re taken care of.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask you to turn off all phones, cameras, and other devices and be fully present with us during this special moment. Our professional photographer will capture it all—we promise to share the beautiful photos with you! Thank you for your love, support, and for being truly here with us.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will be an open bar with beer, wine, and a signature cocktail up to a set limit. Once the bar cap is reached, it will switch to a cash-only bar.
