If your invitation and RSVP does not give the option for kids then we do not have them listed in our numbers. We kindly ask that you consider treating yourself to a babysitter and an evening amongst adults. However, if finding childcare is going to prevent you from joining us, please reach out to one of us before the 24th of May and we will see what we can do. After that date, however, our numbers will be finalized.
The Hesed House is a beautiful outdoor location with a lot of land and two covered semi-indoor areas. The quonset hut and an airplane hanger turned outdoor cafe. If it rains the ceremony will take place under the quonset hut followed by dinner and dessert in the outdoor cafe which is about 40 yards away from the quonset hut. We will have some umbrellas for traveling back and forth between the two covered areas but not nearly enough for everyone to use all at once-so bring a personal umbrella, a jacket, and casual shoes are recommended just in case!
To keep things organized, timely and ensure you're not stuck waiting in line, tables will be dismissed one at a time by a friend of the Bride and Groom. You will go to the food truck, tell them your order and have your food in minutes. This may be a different process than you seen at other weddings but we hope that you find your made to order dinner kept from the bugs and other elements of the outdoors worth it. Because it will take time for everyone to be released to go to the food truck, we will have a snack bar, chips and salsa, and the bar available before you wait so you can munch and mingle until your dinner is served. The snack bar will also be available before the wedding to tide you over if you usually eat an earlier dinner.
