Soda City
The bride's favorite thing to do on Saturday mornings! Located in Downtown Columbia, it's a festive street market filled with food and craft vendors. You can listen to live music, sample food, grab breakfast or shop for souvenirs from one of the vendors.
Lake Murray Dam
Explore the Lake Murray Dam where we used to take long walks after work and watch the sunset. It's absolutely free and breathtaking. There is a lot to do. You can sit on the lakefront and enjoy the view for a small entry fee. Or you can watch the sunset while listening to live music on the patio at Liberty on the Lake.
Charlotte, NC
Just an hour away from Columbia, SC. Visit the bride's hometown! Dine in NoDa, shop in Southpark and explore Center City.
Charleston, SC
Just two hours from Columbia, SC. You'll be at the coast in no time. Visit downtown Charleston, stop by Rainbow Row, take in the food and history. Or visit our favorite beach in the area, Folley Beach.
The Vista
Explore our favorite restaurants right in the heart of downtown Columbia, known as the Vista. We highly recommend The Blue Marlin, Kominski's, Pearlz and Liberty Tap House. You can also check out where we had our first date, COA, located on Lady Street.
The State House
Located in downtown Columbia and not far of a walk from Soda City, the Vista or our wedding venue. You can explore the grounds, climb the steps, take pictures and get a free tour. Sometimes you might even see protestors. You never know! Last note, if you walk on the left side of the main building you will see the African American Monument.
The River Walk
Another favorite spot for us! We used to love to walk this trail after work. Just off the beating path near the Vista, you can get in your steps along the Congaree River. Please take a friend with you!
