Our venue is located in Georgetown, which is a picturesque neighborhood with great shopping and dining. Shopping is located all along M Street and Wisconsin Ave. If you’re a cat lover, stop into Meow Maison Cat Cafe which is where we adopted our cat Pepper! We also recommend walking along the Georgetown Waterfront Park and C&O Canal. If you get hungry, some of our favorite Georgetown restaurants are below: Coffee/casual dining: Baked & Wired, Yellow, Blank Street, Grace Street Coffee + Monstera Burrito, Andy's Pizza Sit-down restaurants: La Bonne Vache, River Club, Osteria Mozza, Filomena, 1310 Kitchen, Lutece
DC is home to many great museums, most of which are free. Some of our favorites are the Museum of Natural History, Museum of American History, and the National Gallery of Art. These museums are located along the National Mall, so you can also spend some time visiting the monuments and memorials. Don't miss the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument. Keep in mind the National Mall is quite large- its about a 45 minute walk from end to end (not including stops). Wear your walking shoes and map out your visit in advance!
The National Zoo is one our favorite DC activities. Passes are required for entry and free to reserve via the Smithsonian website. The zoo is a 10 minute drive or 1 hour walk from Georgetown. It is a great walk through DC if you are up for some steps! Stop at Open City for lunch or a coffee before or after your visit.
