FAQs

The Wedding Website of Lauren Lawson and George Ratcliffe
Question

Do I get a +1?

Answer

Will ease the minds now of any married, engaged, long-term, live-in or just couples we generally like- yes, obviously! All others, text us if needing to confirm ahead of formal invites being sent out late summer.

Question

Should I bring my kids?

Answer

While we adore your little ones, we’ve chosen to keep our wedding an adults-only event, with the exception of our immediate nieces and nephews. That said, if you're able to make arrangements, please use this as a guilt-free date night out - you deserve it.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be held at the same venue?

Answer

No! Ceremony venue differs from the venue at which both the cocktail hour and reception will be held. Check the 'Schedule' tab for addresses to both locations!

Question

What happens after the reception? Will there be an after party?

Answer

Of course, not to fret. The party will continue to rage on. Just hang tight while we work a plan.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

- Friday: casual - Saturday: semi-formal - Rest of the week: none of our business!

Question

Will the events be indoor or outdoor?

Answer

All events are predominately indoor, though will also have access to outdoor areas if you're into that sort of thing!

Question

What's the weather forecast?

Answer

Though I wish we had a crystal ball, here's what history tells us: - Avg high: 61 F / 16 C - Avg low: 46 F / 8 C ...not to mention the gorgeous autumn-changing leaves at this time- not too shabby!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Discounted hotel blocks are available on a first-come first-serve basis, but if you're looking to go off the beaten path, then we recommend prioritizing your stays in the following areas: 1. Short North 2. German Village 3. Upper Arlington Check the 'Travel' tab for more info!

Question

Is transportation provided?

Answer

Fortunately all venues are located within just a couple miles radius of each other, concentrated between the Short North & Upper Arlington areas, so no formal transportation has been planned at this time. Columbus typically is kind to both uber- and parking-enthusiasts alike, however, with garages and street options galore. Our ceremony venue offers an on-site lot, while the reception venue offers both valet + a parking garage just across the street.

Question

Are pets allowed?

Answer

Apparently this gets asked a lot from what research tells me, so I'll just clarify now - no. Though please know this also saddens us deeply.
