If we are telling children or parents, it was "through friends." But let's be honest, there's always more to the story. Yes, we did meet through friends, but it was also at a downtown Chicago nightclub, Spybar. So I guess you could say music is the reason we're here together today. Drew "courted" Lauren and she was "sooo not into dating" at the time, but they hung out once and the rest is history.
After 6 years of being in a relationship and living together through most of it, they both decided it was time to put a ring on it. And you know there were multiple times where Lauren awkwardly tried to do the dance to Beyoncé's "Single Ladies" singing the lyrics "if you like it then you should of put a ring on it" to get her point across. Before going on a trip out to Utah for Christmas to see Drew's family, Lauren was told they would be taking professional family photos. With the help of Drew's mother Theresa, aka Superwoman, everyone was none the wiser while boarding a horse drawn sleigh ride up in the mountains. A professional photographer was hired (our now wedding photographer Brooks) and while taking photos alone together with another beautiful sleigh ride in the background, Drew popped the question. The below photo shows just a glimpse of everyone's happiness that day. We are so lucky we got to share this moment with his Mom, Stepdad and brothers. The day was perfect, and we can't wait to somehow outdo this day with you all when we finally tie the knot.
