Mehndi or henna is a tradition in most Indian weddings, regardless of religious beliefs. Typically, women apply henna during weddings but all the men are invited since this is an evening of eating, dancing and celebrating with friends. The mehndi ceremony is a lot less formal than the reception so come prepared to have an enjoyable, laidback evening!

The reception dinner will be served in traditional Dawoodi Bohra "thaals" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tDURtj0YNQ). For our vegetarian friends, we will have a buffet selection. While the thaals typically involve a community dining experience where everyone eats from the same platter, we will be providing individual plates so even our vegetarian friends can get their buffet dinner and then dine together with friends and family.
