After we were assigned to sit next to each other in biology class, we became friends. Best friends. We initially bonded over our love for the same music and would sit and do our work sharing the same headphones (or I would do my work...and Ryan's too).
We stayed together through high school, graduated, and I went off to college. Although not perfect, our relationship stuck through all the hardships that came with being away from home for the first time and doing long distance. These years taught us so much - about each other, ourselves, and the world. We learned that love isn't always perfect. It isn't a fairytale or storybook, and it doesn't always come easy. True, genuine love is overcoming obstacles, facing challenges, fighting to be together, holding on and not letting go. Love is work, but most of all, it is realizing that every hour, every minute, and every second was worth it because you did it together.
Nine years later, here we are. Readier than ever to say I do. Eager to uncover and enjoy all that this life has in store for us as a married couple!
