Kabbalat Panim and Bedecken

Kabbalat Panim (Receiving Guests) This part of the Jewish wedding is an optional cocktail hour that precedes the ceremony. The bride and groom will be in separate rooms receiving guests. Bedecken (The Veiling) Bedecken, which literally means “to cover” in Yiddish, is an Ashkenazi Jewish wedding tradition that involves the groom putting a wedding veil on the bride shortly before the ceremony. This will be the "first look" of the couple that day and so the Bedecken is a moment of great joy. Buses for this event will leave at 4:00PM. Later buses will be available prior to the wedding ceremony.
