A small island located along the Rio Cuale river, which runs through the center of Puerto Vallarta. Take a leisurely walk and explore the island's lush forests and gardens, which are home to a number of interesting plants, colorful birds, and a variety of cats that roam the island. The island also has a small cultural center, artisan flea market, and restaurants.
Located in the heart of the city's Old Town district, the pier stretches out into the Bay of Banderas, offering stunning views of the water and the surrounding mountains. El Jardín Botánico, is a beautiful and serene place located in the mountains just outside the city, about 30 minutes south of the hotel. You can explore walking trails, admire native plant species, or take a refreshing dip in the nearby river.
Located in the Centro area, just behind Cathedral Guadalupe, the neighborhood is named after the gringo (foreign) residents who lived there in the early 20th century and had colorful, colonial style, homes built on the hillside. One of such residents was famous Hollywood actor Richard Burton, who had a love affair in the 1960’s with Elizabeth Taylor. You can visit the white bridge that was built connecting their two properties, an iconic landmark in the city. The area is otherwise known for its cobblestone streets, colonial-style architecture, and eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, and bars.
