What to know about the wedding venue

Hotel Playa Fiesta is a private boutique hotel and wedding venue in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico located only a few steps from an ocean front sandy beach with magnificent views of Banderas Bay. The hotel will only host Ranger and Steve’s guests! The hotel provides a range of amenities including two pools, beachfront access, and a full-service restaurant and open bar open daily from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. The majority of events for our wedding will occur at Playa Fiesta, with a few events occurring out in town. Guests staying at Costa Sur Resort & Spa will be able to enjoy all of these same amenities and are a short walk from Playa Fiesta. Why stay at Costa Sur Resort & Spa?

Answer

The majority of weeding week events will occur at Playa Fiesta. The family and wedding party will be staying at Playa Fiesta, however, the boutique hotel cannot accommodate all wedding guests. Costa Sur Resort & Spa is the only affiliated hotel and it is located a short walk down the street! Guests that stay at Costa Sur will access all the same amenities at both Costa Sur and Playa Fiesta (including open bar) for no additional cost. If you choose to stay at a different hotel it will cost $100+ daily to visit Playa Fiesta for the additional wedding week events. Any guests staying at the hotel next door (The Hilton Vallarta Riviera) are required to pay offsite guest fees for EVERYDAY they stay at the Hilton ($100+/daily). What's included in my booking?

Answer

From Monday until Sunday, all guests staying at Hotel Playa Fiesta or Costa Sur Resort & Spa will be able to enjoy the full packages of the resorts. This includes free breakfast or brunch every day, two dinners with all guests invited (see Schedule), an open bar, and hotel amenities. See booking instructions under “Travel and Accommodations” for more details.

Hotel Minimum Stay Requirement

Costa Sur requires a three night minimum, however guests are welcome to check in as early as Monday (11/09/26). Ranger and Steve will be at the resort from Monday to Sunday.

Can kids attend the celebrations?

Answer

Kids under two are welcome, but please consider the week-long open bar, pool, and the bride and groom’s proclivity for a spicy marg!

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

If "and guest" or your plus-one's name is written on your wedding invitation, you can bring someone.

What kind of weather can I expect?

Answer

In mid-November, Puerto Vallarta offers ideal weather for a wedding. The rainy season has ended, leaving behind warm, sunny days with average highs around 86°F (30°C) and cooler evenings averaging 69°F (20.5°C).

How do I get around Puerto Vallarta?

Answer

Taxis are the best way to get around Puerto Vallarta, just make sure they are marked. Ubers are also a great option, but may not be available in all locations.

What is the wedding dress code?

Answer

For the wedding, we ask that all guests wear Tropical Cocktail Attire. Think "chic resort evening" or "sunset party with style". We want everyone to look great in something comfortable, polished, and fun.

What currency should I plan to use?

Answer

US Dollars are accepted at all local businesses and in taxis, however at a less favorable exchange rate. For money exchange the best rates can either be found before coming (at your bank) or by using an ATM in town with your credit card.

What should I include in my packing list?

Answer

Passport, wedding attire, swimsuits, clothing and shoes for outdoor activities, beach/pool bag, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, Pepto Bismol/antacids.
