Santa Paula Punch Bowls
Fun hiking trail with the trailhead beginning right next to the entrance to Thomas Aquinas College. There are three pools "punch bowls" at the end of the trail. (They are some distance from each other) While this is a trail, if you have never been, it would be advisable to go with someone who knows the way.
Hollywood Beach
Very fun beach with lots of sand and room for beach games, kite flying, skim boarding, and picnicking. Fun beach to swim at and the waves are usually very calm here.
Schoolhouse Beach
Great Ventura beach for picnicking, relaxing, playing games, and swimming in the ocean. It is usually best to park near Pierpont Elementary School or one of the neighborhood streets near the school.
Rincon Point
Beautiful Beach nestled under cliffs. There are fantastic tide pools to find many cool sea creatures such as crabs, sea anemones, and sometimes even sea slugs. This beach is also a great place to watch the sunset.
Surfers Point
This beach is great for surfing at any level. This spot is near the Ventura Pier where the delicious Beach House Tacos is located for a post surf session lunch or dinner. This beach is very known for its surfing (hence the name) but it isn't as ideal as others to sit and relax.
Main Street Ventura
Ventura's Main Street is a great place to find a good place to eat and find cool places to shop. Some places to be sure to check out are Rice Thai Cuisine, Blenders in the Grass, Contrast, and Mission San Buenaventura.
Rice Thai Cuisine
Delicious Thai restaurant located on Main Street in Ventura. This is one of our favorite local spots. It's very worth trying out.
Foothill Road Scenic Drive
Take a drive down the scenic Foothill Road between Santa Paula and Ventura. Drive past beautiful orange groves, avocado orchards, and look out at the ocean.
Farmer and the Cook
Come here for a more quaint look at Ojai to enjoy delicious meals and smoothies from their organic café. Also stop in to find some local treasures.
Ojai Pizza Company
Long day of travel? Need some sustenance? Stop here for some of the best pizza in the area.
Libbey Park
This park is a great place for a walk or run. There is plenty of shade, a large fountain, a large playground, tennis courts. Everything you could want in a park.
