FAQs

If you have any additional questions please do not hesitate to contact us at RandallKnightWedding@gmail.com.
Question

Are children and babies attending the wedding?

Answer

We are touched that your entire family wants to celebrate with us, but we are planning an adult only ceremony and reception (18 +).

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We would love for your spouse or long time significant other to join us. If your invitation envelope included your partner's name or "and guest" we are including them in our guest count. Please contact us at RandallKnightWedding@gmail.com if we did not include them on your addressed invitation.

Question

What is an unplugged ceremony?

Answer

We are planning an unplugged ceremony. We kindly ask that you do not use your cell phone or camera during the ceremony and during formal family pictures following the ceremony. We want everyone to be present on this very special day. Cell phones and cameras can distract from the actual event and can interfere with our professional photos and videography.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The general dress code is cocktail or more formal attire, but please not white. Examples would be suits and ties for gentlemen and cocktail dresses for ladies. Our groomsmen will be wearing gray suits with navy ties and our bridesmaids will be wearing shades of gray and blue. The ceremony location is dependent on rain, but if the weather is nice the ceremony will be outside. There is a short walk from the parking lot to get into the stadium. If it is a gray day please consider bringing an umbrella. Guests will be walking across solid surfaces. We will not be on the field or on gravel. The reception will be indoors. Cocktail hour is scheduled to be outside, but will be moved inside in case of rain. We kindly ask that you do not wear items like jeans, shorts, t shirts, hats, cotton dresses, flip flops or sneakers.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 3 pm. We would appreciate if everyone arrives no later than 2:45 pm. We will not be able to seat late arrivals.

Question

Is the ceremony at a baseball stadium?

Answer

Yes, the actual ceremony was planned to be at Frontier Field on home plate. This is not a baseball themed wedding. It is just a special location for us. Unfortunately, there has been some unforeseen construction come up and the ceremony will now be held off the field.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Ceremony Parking: Guests will have complimentary parking in the VIP lot next to the stadium at the corner of Oak Street and Morrie Silver Way. Reception Parking: Instructions will be announced at the ceremony. If you are staying at the Holiday Inn Downtown feel free to drive back to the hotel and park your car there. There will be a shuttle to and from the reception. Reception Parking: For guests driving to the reception parking is complimentary at the German House and the adjacent parking lot with overflow parking across the street at St. Boniface Church. In the event that you are not comfortable driving home, vehicles may be left overnight in the German House parking lot or adjacent lot, but not the church parking lot. All vehicles must be picked up Sunday morning.

Question

I have a food allergy or restricted diet, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know when you RSVP if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions.

Question

Will dinner be plated or buffet?

Answer

We will be having a buffet dinner that will include Caesar salad, sauteed vegetables, scalloped potatoes, chicken french, salmon and penne vodka.

Question

Will drinks be provided?

Answer

There will be a cash bar available from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm before the cocktail hour begins for guests that choose to arrive at the German House early. The bar will be open for the rest of the reception, but closed during dinner. The open bar will include Coca Cola products, beer, wine and spirits. Coffee will be served with dessert.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels?

Answer

There is not transportation provided to the ceremony. There will be transportation between the reception and hotel for guests staying at the Holiday Inn Downtown. Please keep in mind that parking at the Holiday Inn Downtown is $5 per vehicle per day.

Answer

Question

Answer

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

The wedding party and most guests are staying at the Holiday Inn Downtown. The hotel block is now closed. Reservations can still be made if there is availability at the hotel, but the group discount will no longer apply.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP before August 1 st, 2019 after receiving your formal invitation in the mail. To RSVP please use your full name as it was typed on the envelope of your invitation. Our venue requires a final head count several weeks before the wedding. We know that work schedules and child care can take some time to coordinate so if you cannot be sure about attending by August 1 st please contact us at RandallKnightWedding@gmail.com and we can figure out a plan. Please let us know if you plan on attending the ceremony only so we can have an accurate head count for catering.
