Ryan first met Matthew in the spring of 2018, during theatre class. However, it wasn’t until 2019 that the two began to develop a close friendship. When offered the choice to pick his arch-nemesis during one show, Ryan decided to choose Matthew. From there on, they developed a unique dynamic. Matthew has also been a dependable and loyal friend, helping Ryan through some of his toughest struggles. If you see one of them being a total goofball, the other is close by!

I’m Amy, Lauren’s cousin. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago but relocated here for my job over 5 years ago. I feel so lucky that even though I moved away from my immediate family, I was able to reunite with my AZ family that I hadn’t seen in decades. It has been a true pleasure to be able to grow closer to Lauren and her family over these last few years. I work full time as a Product Manager at GoDaddy and also own a small business with my husband, Patrick. We have 2 children and 2 puppies. In our free time, we enjoy playing board games together, watching movies, swimming, and hiking. I feel so honored to be a part of Lauren and Matthew’s special day. I loved seeing their relationship grow over the last few years and adore how much fun and adventure they bring to each other lives.

I am Joey Ryschon, I've known Matthew and Lauren for about 4 years through MoezArt. We've done many shows together. My favorites are Music Man, and One Foot in Heaven. I've been doing tech for MoezArt for 4 years, and I plan to work in lighting for theater and become a lighting technician and programmer for different theater companies. Some of my favorite memories with Matthew is when we did One Foot in Heaven, me and Matthew played kids, Matthew was the main boy living in a parish and I was the music leader's weird annoying son. We had to block a fight scene between us outside of the window, and every time we're about to go on we would just laugh and joke and he knocked my character's teeth out. Another is when we did Meet Me in St. Louis a friend and I would come in every day of tech week and bring Matthew a big bag of marshmallows. That is when I received the title of "Marshmallow friend".

Zoe Squires

Hey! I’m Zoe Squires, and I currently reside in Newberg, Oregon. I enjoy hiking in the forests around Oregon, watching all things Marvel, and going to the coast. I currently attend George Fox University and am pursuing a bachelors in Theology with concentrations in Biblical Studies and Christian Ministries. I am one of Matthew’s cousins, so I have wonderful memories of our cousin gang growing up together. They range from getting stuck in trees and licking slugs, to creating fun jingles for fast food companies and playing endless rounds of 20 questions during long road trips. Even though I actually haven’t known Lauren that long, I feel like she has been a part of our squad forever. Lauren has a magnetic personality, and I have had so much fun getting to know her this past year. I met Lauren last summer when my family and I visited Arizona. Within the first hour of meeting Lauren, I managed to beat her at Monopoly AND I knew she would become a part of this family permanently. We traveled to the Grand Canyon the summer of 2021, and I last saw the happy couple when my brother and I flew down for the engagement party as an unannounced surprise! I am so so so honored to have been invited to take part in this very special day!

I’ve been Matthew’s oldest brother for 20 years. I’m studying electrical engineering at Grand Canyon University, and I’m graduating this spring. In my spare time, I like reading and spending time with family. Over the last two years, it’s been a joy getting to know Lauren. I’m happy to welcome Lauren into our family, and I wish Matthew and Lauren the best.

I met Mathew and Lauren through theater. And it was amazing to see how much they grew each other. I am now wonderful friends with both of them! Lauren, Matthew and I bond over dancing and theater and I am so thankful for all the wonderful memories I have with them. I am so happy to see these two getting married! I can’t wait to see where life takes them.

Michael Randall

My name is Michael Randall. I am the youngest and superior brother of the groom. I often hear from others that Matthew and I look similar; neither of us quite see it. Unless there's some super-secret info that we're twins, I'll continue denying our similarity. One of my favorite memories with Matthew is a couple of years back when we were bored and looking for a movie to watch. Eventually, we came upon Iron Man and joked about watching it because we had never been Marvel lovers. But that night started an era of Stan Lee greatness. Slowly we watched all the Marvel movies—well until he ditched me as a movie buddy for Lauren, but I suppose I forgive him—. This semester, I'm a freshman studying nursing at Grand Canyon University. My favorite hobbies are watching movies, beating my other brother Nathan at board games, and playing guitar and piano. Because it's May when I'm writing this, I'm not in college yet and don't know how it's going, so there's a free conversation starter if you run into me :)

Lauren and I met in elementary school, I was in 3rd grade and she was in 4th but since our school was so small everyone kinda knew each other. Once we found out we lived in the same neighborhood, our amazing friendship really began! I’ll never forget bouncing around on yoga balls to “Fix My Eyes” by King and Country with her, it’s one of my favorite memories. The Damato’s have always been like a second family to me, and I’m so thankful they’re in my life!

Zachary Squires

Hello! My name is Zach and I am one of Matthew’s cousins. I live just outside of Portland, Oregon and have lived in the same house my whole life. I’m a car guy, through and through, and currently am a Toyota mechanic. Although I work at Toyota, I own a Ford and am constantly working on it. If I’m not working on cars, I am either playing guitar or doing something church-related. On the guitar side, I play both acoustic and bass regularly, but if I get bored, I’ll pick up the electric. On the church side, I’m a middle school youth leader and am involved with a group called Royal Rangers (which is similar to Boy Scouts, but faith-based). I’m a year older than Matthew, so I have known him ever since he was born, but I have only known Lauren for the past year or so. I learned that Matthew had a girlfriend when I received a picture of him with blue hair, and when I asked about it, he said that Lauren dyed it. From that conversation I learned that Matthew had a girlfriend named Lauren, she dyed his hair blue, and they met through theater. That’s all I knew until later that year she joined us on a road trip to the Grand Canyon. Immediately she fit right in and we all knew that they were going to get married. Now, they are getting married, and I have another cousin.

I first met Lauren in MoezArt doing the performance of Joseph Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat in 2018. From there we kept performing together throughout high school until my senior year. My senior year we performed the musical Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. It was so much fun performing together and getting to make such great memories! We got to act as brides together and now she is going to be the real bride. I treasure our memories and moments we shared and keep sharing. I'm excited to be a bridesmaid and to be a part of this beautiful couple's wedding! Now what I'm doing after high school is just working and finding myself in this crazy world. I still enjoy acting and I love ice skating. They are always a part of me just like Lauren is and all our memories we share. Wishing the couple the very best and that they are happy together always and forever!
