We met at MoezArt Productions (our theatre class) back in 2017. We were performing Hello, Dolly! We only exchanged a few words that semester. It wasn't until over a year later that we started really liking each other when we got to know one another more.
Kind of hard to answer. We confessed our feelings in July but took it very slow for a few months. We went out with friends to ice cream, shows, and fast food. However, our first real date with one another was on October 21st, 2019. We went to a private park (where I would later propose) and strolled around while talking. Then went out to ice cream afterwards. Hint/cue our love and passion for ice cream!
Lauren: Ok, I have 2. Lol 1. I would probably be when we went to Pumpkin Nights at the Princess. It was such a fun filled and relaxing night. 2. I would also probably be when we went into the wrong movie at the theatres, and didn’t realize it until we were about a good 30-45 minutes into it. Not to mention how many times we have gotten lost on the road, and the long road-trips we have taken together, where some were full on off roading! Lol Matthew: Back to August 2020. I wanted to go to the movie theaters. Of course they were all closed. (do to some pandemic going on at the time) Lauren decorated the interior of her house to look like a movie theatre. Really quite cool. We watched the entire quadrilogy of Hunger Games that day.
I (Matthew) knew Lauren wanted a photographer for the proposal. I also knew she wanted to be wearing something nice for the occasion. Sounds simple enough. I just have to get her out of the house in fancy clothing without her suspecting anything. I surprised her around three days prior to the proposal with reserved seating at the melting pot. Bingo! fancy clothing taken care of. After a hassle, I finally managed to get us entry to our location (thanks to her dad). A private park where we went on our first date. Day of the proposal I had us leave the house to the melting pot and took about 10 wrong turns and wound up at our park. I then informed her our reservations weren't until later that evening and the park was an early Christmas present. We strolled up to the gazebo, I took to my knee, and you can guess the rest. SHE SAID YES! Ps. we saw spider-man earlier that day... So I was having a very good day you could see
We are headed the the beautiful Cabo San Lucas. We look forward to exploring the arch, the Mexican culture, and maybe some whale watching. Oh, and lots of swimming of course!
Matthew: I've always had an interest in film. (cinematography, screenplay, directing) I'm planning on pursuing those interests however that may look. I also hope to continue performing on stage in the coming years for AzCam. Lauren: I love theatre, dance and acting of course and will continue my passion and love for this when I can, but I really look forward to is exploring the art world! What sort of art you may wonder or ask? All sorts! Whether it comes to digital, hands on, clay, painting etc. I also really love people! So I would love to be involved with something where I can help others!
