Transportation: We can't wait for you to explore Oaxaca! The city is very walkable, but taxis are easy to grab if needed. Uber doesn't exist here and many places are cash only so we recommend you get pesos at the airport or order them from your bank in advance. Dia de los Muertos: Last but not least, while our wedding is on Nov. 5th, one of the most beautiful (and busiest!) times of the year in Oaxaca is during Día de los Muertos (Nov 1st & 2nd). Please make sure you book well in advance if you plan on arriving early for the celebration!

Flight

Oaxaca International Airport

Fly into Xoxocotlán International Airport (OAX). Direct flights to Oaxaca from the United States are only available from Los Angeles, Houston, and Dallas. Most flights will connect through Benito Juarez International Airport in Mexico City (MEX), so please allow extra time for customs and passport control there. The flight from Mexico City to Oaxaca lasts about an hour. Upon arrival, you can easily grab a cab to take you to the city center. Please note Uber is not available in Oaxaca. The drive from OAX to downtown Oaxaca lasts about 20 minutes.
