Nope! We want all of our guests to come in whatever makes them look and feel great.
The Anand Karaj takes place in a Gurdwara (Sikh Temple) and attendees sit inside on the floor (there will be limited seats available for folks that may not be able to sit on the floor, please prioritize these seats for the elderly) after removing their shoes and covering their heads. The traditional outfits of choice for a Gurdwara are Salwar Kameez for women and Kurta Pajama for men. Some ideas for folks that wish to wear Western attire instead: comfortable slacks or joggers with a long top or a long, modest dress. Head coverings will be available or feel free to bring your own that matches your outfit! Please remember that shoes are not allowed inside the main Gurdwara hall where the ceremony will take place. You may wear them everywhere else on the Gurdwara premises before and after the ceremony.
