Required Forms Needed to Enter Greece

All travelers must complete their PLF before entering the country, providing detailed information on their point of departure, the duration of previous stays in other countries, and the address of their stay while in Greece. In case of multiple stays, they are required to provide the address for the first 24 hours at least. -One PLF should be submitted per family -Travelers will receive confirmation email upon submission of the PLF -Travelers will receive the PLF with their unique Quick Response (QR) code on the day of their scheduled arrival in Greece and will be notified via email (the QR code will be provided in a link in the confirmation email) -Travelers boarding or embarking on the previous day of the arrival will be allowed to do so upon showing the confirmation email, since they will receive their QR code during their flight or voyage **Note they say you will receive the QR code the day prior to scheduled arrival however many of us who registered have already received ours.

Covid Testing / Vaccines needed for Entrance to Greece

All travelers arriving in Greece are required to have either a negative PCR Covid-19 test taken no later than 72 hours before arrival or a negative antigen (rapid) test taken no longer than 48 hours before arrival. This test is mandatory for all tourists (including children over the age of 12), regardless of the epidemiological situation in the country of departure. Proof of a negative test is not required however for all travelers that have completed their vaccination (i.e., 14 days have elapsed since the last vaccination, depending on the doses required) and hold a vaccination certificate. Note that this is for Greece, if your first flight into Europe is through a different country, for example Frankfurt, you should check to see what the requirements are for Germany. We recommend getting a negative test before leaving even if vaccinated to avoid any issues.

Covid Tests Required for Re-Entering the US

Before re-entering to the US you will need proof of a negative Covid test: regardless of vaccination status. If you are returning to the US from Santorini right after the wedding, upon checkin the front desk will help arrange a Doctor to come to the hotel and perform the test. We have confirmed with the hotels there is no need to arrange this prior to checkin, the doctors are on call. The test needs to be taken no more then 3 days before your flight leaves. Expect the price to be between 50 - 100 Euros per person, form of acceptable payment varies so ask during checkin, while arranging the test, what payment types are accepted (cash, credit). In most cases the turn around time is 24hrs, again ask for confirmation of turn around time during checkin.

Arrival & Departure Dates

We recommend arriving anytime on Sunday, August 22nd and to arrange a taxi/shuttle pickup directly with your hotel, do not rely on catching a taxi at the airport. There will be a catamaran cruise welcome party starting at 2pm on Monday, August 23rd ending with sunset. You have all day Tuesday to relax and explore the beautiful island of Santorini. The wedding is in the evening on Wednesday, August 25th and will end at midnight. Most guests will be departing on Thursday, August 26th.

Hotel

Hotels / Accommodation

We recommend everyone to stay close to where the bridal party is staying in the city of Fira for the dates August 22-26. The hotel sizes in Santorini are quite small and unfortunately room blocks are not allowed in Greece so please book quickly. As detailed below there are stairs everywhere so what may look like a short distance away may take some time so if you’re selecting something other than these hotels we ask to run this by Raleigh and Andrew to double check. The following hotels should accommodate a variety of budgets: Porto Fira Suites: www.portofira.com Iriana Suites: www.irianasuites.com Cori Rigas Suites: www.coririgasuites.com Andronis Honeymoon Suites: www.andronishoneymoon.com Please note this area is where transfers will be arranged to and from for all activities.

Travel Note

Get to know the Island

Fira (Fear-ah): largest city in Santorini full of restaurants, shops and nightlife. This is our first recommendation and closest to all the action. Fira is also spelled Thira, these are the same city. This is where the wedding party is staying and where transfers will be arranged from. Imerovigli: a sleepy village great for peace & quiet in which to lounge by the pool and enjoy the beautiful views. This is the area the wedding will be. We recommend staying here if stairs are difficult for you as there are far fewer in this area. Oia (EE-ah): the second largest city located on the Northern part of the island. This is an in-between feeling of Fira and Imerovigli, with it being quieter than Fira but more to do than Imerovigli including plenty of restaurants.

Travel Note

How to get to Santorini

You can fly to Santorini (airport code JTR) directly from the following European airports: -London Heathrow LHR -London Gatwick LGW -Athens ATH -Munich MUC -Rome FCO -Zurich ZRH -Venice VCE You will save a ton of money if you book a round trip through one of the above major airports and book the Santorini flight separately. Do not search for flights originating from the US or Asia with the final destination as Santorini, they will appear thousands of dollars more than the above method! If you are visiting another Greek island beforehand you should take a ferry to arrive in Fira, Santorini.

Travel Note

Stairs, stairs, stairs.

Fira and Oia are pedestrian only winding streets with many stairs, please keep this in mind when deciding where to stay. If you have any physical limitations that might be an issue we recommend calling the hotel before booking and asking specific questions. All front desk agents in Santorini speak English. Most hotels have porters that will meet you when you arrive at the top of the stairs to carry your bags down for you.

Travel Note

Airport Transfers

We highly recommend arranging airport transfers directly through your hotel, there are not always taxi's at the Santorini airport (or port if coming in on a ferry) so you should not rely on that.
