This a must for a trip to Nottinghamshire! A magical, ancient woodland where you can follow in the legendary Robin Hood's footsteps.

Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak

Our favourite local town to visit, where you can relax in cosy tearooms or charming pubs, window shop at the independent stores and visit the Minster.

Southwell

If you want to brave January's weather, Gunthorpe is one of our favourite places to have a blissful stroll along the River Trent! There is free parking and a pub to warm up in afterwards.

Steeped in over 800 years of history, Newstead is a monastic Abbey from the late 12th century and former home of Romantic poet Lord Byron.

Nottingham has the UK's largest network of caves - over 800 are hidden beneath its streets.  Go explore!

City of Caves

No trip to Nottingham is complete without a drink at the Old Trip - England's oldest surviving inn built in 1189. Whilst you're there, you must also visit the Robin Hood statue, which is located just up the road.
