We’ve actually known each other since middle school—Kyle was in 7th grade, and Rainey was in 8th. We lived just a block apart but didn’t officially cross paths until our daily bus rides to middle school. Those rides quickly turned into laughter-filled mornings with friends… and usually ended with us in trouble for being a little too loud. Later in high school, we even ended up in the same geometry class. Let’s just say we spent more time talking and goofing around than focusing on the formulas—and somehow managed to just pass together. Through high school we stayed friendly, but never especially close. What we didn’t realize at the time was that we both secretly had little crushes on each other. Fast forward about six years. Kyle needed to brush up on his golf game for a round with his foremen, so he stopped by Snohomish Valley Golf Center—where Rainey just happened to be working. She served him a drink, and what started as a quick “catching up” conversation turned into Kyle asking her out a few days later. Their first official date was at Fred’s Rivertown Alehouse on April 2, 2024—and that’s when it all really began. ❤️ Then, on June 27, 2025, Kyle brought everything full circle by proposing to Rainey right outside that very same spot, Fred’s Rivertown Alehouse.
