Here you'll find answers to the most common questions about our wedding and travel details. If you don’t see your question listed, feel free to reach out to our amazing wedding planner, Taylor, who will be happy to assist you!
Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

To RSVP, simply visit our wedding website and click on the RSVP tab. From there, you’ll be able to let us know if you’ll be attending or if you’re unable to join us. We can’t wait to hear from you!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than September 20, 2025. We need to provide a final guest count to the resort to reserve rooms and finalize all wedding arrangements. If we don’t receive your RSVP by that date, unfortunately, we won’t be able to include you in the celebration. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Can I change my RSVP?

Answer

Yes, you can change your RSVP if needed! The deadline to be added to the guest list is September 20, 2025. After that date, we unfortunately won’t be able to add any more guests due to resort and vendor restrictions. However, if your plans change and you’re no longer able to attend, we can remove you from the list—just keep in mind that we cannot replace you with someone else. For any RSVP changes or questions, please reach out to our coordinator, Taylor, who will be happy to assist you.

Question

How do destination weddings work?

Answer

A destination wedding is a wedding held in a beautiful location away from home—ours will be at a resort in Mexico! Guests book their stay through our travel team, and once at the resort, everything from the ceremony to the reception takes place on-site. It’s a unique experience that turns the wedding into a vacation for everyone! We’ll provide all the details you need for booking your stay, attending the events, and enjoying your time. Our wedding planner, Taylor, will also be available to help with any questions along the way.

Question

Are there any visa or passport requirements?

Answer

U.S. citizens need a valid passport to enter Mexico, but no visa is required for tourist stays up to 180 days. Upon arrival, you’ll complete a simple immigration form (FMM) provided by your airline. For most wedding guests visiting briefly, this process is easy and straightforward. Just make sure your passport is valid for your trip, and check for any updates before traveling. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in beautiful Mexico!

Question

When should guests arrive to the resort?

Answer

We recommend arriving a day or two before the wedding to settle in and enjoy the resort. If you need help planning your arrival or coordinating travel details, please feel free to reach out to our wedding planner, Taylor—she’s happy to assist you with everything!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire. This typically includes: For women: Midi or knee-length dresses, jumpsuits, or elegant sundresses For men: Dress pants with a button-up shirt, polo, or lightweight blazer Due to the warm weather, linen outfits for men and sundresses for women are perfectly acceptable and encouraged to keep cool and comfortable. Just keep it stylish and celebratory!

Question

Is there a color dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests do not wear white, as we’d like to reserve that color for the bride. In addition, if possible, please try to avoid wearing green or any shades of green. This is simply to keep our wedding color palette cohesive and to ensure the wedding party stands out in photos. We truly appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to a strict guest count and resort requirements, we kindly ask that no additional guests be brought to the wedding events unless they were specifically invited. If you’d like to bring someone with you to the resort for your trip, you’re more than welcome to—but please note they will not be able to attend any of the wedding day events. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Children who are specifically invited by us are absolutely welcome to join in the wedding festivities. However, due to limited space and planning requirements, any child not listed on your invitation will not be able to attend the wedding day events. They are more than welcome to join you on the trip and enjoy the resort, but we appreciate your understanding in helping us stick to our guest list.

Question

Will there be activities after the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! Right after the ceremony, there will be a cocktail hour with an open bar and music for everyone to enjoy and mingle. Following that, we’ll have a private reception dinner where we’ll celebrate together and dance the night away to end the perfect day!

Question

Is there any pre or post wedding activities?

Answer

We have a full schedule of special activities planned throughout the trip, which all guests will receive closer to the date. You’re welcome to join in any events you like—or simply relax and enjoy your time. The schedule is a surprise, so we can’t wait for you to see what we have in store! Plus, the resort offers plenty of daily activities for you to explore at your leisure.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking any photos or videos during the ceremony, as it will be an unplugged moment—we want everyone to be fully present with us. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many pictures and videos as you'd like! Thank you for understanding and helping us create a meaningful experience.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, absolutely! In the RSVP section of the website, there’s a space to note any food allergies or dietary restrictions. If you’ve already submitted your RSVP and forgot to include it, please contact our wedding planner, Taylor, as soon as possible so she can inform the resort and ensure you’re accommodated properly. Your comfort and safety are important to us!

Question

What Will the Weather Be Like in Cancun, Mexico in July?

Answer

In July, the weather in Cancún near Costa Mujeres is typically hot, humid, and tropical—perfect for beach days but with a few things to keep in mind. Daily high temperatures average around 86°F (30°C), with warm nights in the upper 70s. July also marks the start of the rainy season, so you can expect occasional afternoon showers or thunderstorms, though they usually pass quickly and don’t ruin the day. The sun is strong, so bring high-SPF sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses to protect yourself. Light, breathable clothing is ideal, and staying hydrated is key. Because of the humidity, mosquitoes can be active, especially in the evenings or outside the resort, so insect repellent is a good idea. Despite the brief rain, July offers lush, tropical scenery and warm ocean water—perfect for celebrating in paradise!

Question

Do you have a wedding hashtag I can use?

Answer

Yes! We’d love for you to use our wedding hashtags: #RRWedding26 and #WrightToTheAltar. Feel free to tag your photos and videos with them so we can look back and relive all the special memories you captured!

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes, we do! You can find our registry by clicking the Registry section on our wedding website and contribute if you’d like. We also have a registry set up at Target.com for your convenience. Thank you so much for your love and support!

Question

What are health hazards guests should know about before coming to Mexico from the USA?

Answer

While visiting Mexico is generally safe and enjoyable, there are a few health precautions to keep in mind. Do not drink the tap water, including for brushing your teeth—stick to bottled or purified water, which is provided at most resorts. Food and water safety can vary outside of the resort, so it's best to eat at reputable restaurants and avoid raw or undercooked street food. Sun exposure is strong in the Caribbean—use high-SPF sunscreen and stay hydrated to avoid heat exhaustion or sunburn. Mosquito bites can occasionally pose a risk for illnesses like dengue; use insect repellent if you plan to explore outside the resort. Also, travelers' diarrhea is common when adjusting to new foods or water sources, so bringing over-the-counter medication just in case is a good idea. Most importantly, practice good hygiene and hand washing to stay healthy during your trip

Question

What does the resort have to offer?

Answer

TRS Coral Hotel is a luxurious adults-only, all-inclusive resort located on a beautiful white-sand beach in Costa Mujeres, about 35–40 minutes from Cancún International Airport. As our wedding guests, you’ll enjoy modern, spacious suites—many with swim-up access or hydro-massage tubs—and personalized butler service to assist with anything from reservations to unpacking. With stunning views, exceptional service, and endless amenities, TRS Coral is the perfect place to celebrate love, relax, and make unforgettable memories together.
