Do we need to rent a car?

Answer

That depends. Car rentals are not necessary to be able to attend wedding weekend functions. An Uber from the airport is 25 minutes into downtown Savannah, and generally costs ~$30. Savannah is very walkable and getting around is easy with Uber if you’re not in the mood to walk. However, if you want to explore Tybee Island (~20 minutes away from Savannah), a rental car is probably a good idea.

Can we drink on the streets of Savannah?

Answer

Yes, as long as you are in downtown Savannah. It’s general knowledge to locals so many bars/restaurants will forget to inform you. If you want to stop into a cute bar (or a bar) and order an alcoholic beverage TO GO, simply ask for it in a plastic cup and you’re good to walk right out with it. We wish all cities were this fun!

Is Thursday night’s event open to everyone?

Absolutely! We understand that taking the extra day off is not possible for everyone, but we highly encourage you to make it happen. We will have dinner and drinks on a magical spot on the water, with dancing. This helps everyone meet a day early so that Friday daytime activities can be shared together. We hope that Thursday’s preview of the Lowcountry will entice you all to get out on the water with dolphin tours Friday!

Honestly, who knows. Temperatures average 65°-84°F.

What should I pack?

Answer

Thursday night’s event at the Wyld is casual attire. Cocktail attire is required for those attending Rehearsal Dinner and same goes for everyone invited to Welcome Drinks. Saturday’s events are black-tie optional (let’s get dressed up!). Sunday brunch is whatever you can manage to pull your head through. Backward shirts won’t be judged. Pack a bathing suit...you never know.
