We're getting married!

We met in college at SUNY Oswego. Brendan and Maddy went their separate ways and didn't have any communication from 2018 until March 7th, 2021. On that day, Brendan messaged Maddy on instagram saying "How have you been, long time since Oswego" then continuing on talking and exchanging contact information. Two days went by and it was Brendan's birthday. Brendan invited Maddy to Captain Jack's in Sodus Point to celebrate with him. Of course, she went or we probably wouldn't be writing this! Immediately they clicked and everything felt like it was meant to be.

On November 18, 2023, Brendan brought up the idea to Maddy that they should officially get their first Christmas tree. Maddy loved this since Christmas is her favorite holiday and it truly never is too early to set up a Christmas tree! Brendan told Maddy to go wait in the car while he had to do something quick inside. Little did she know, he was calling her dad to ask for his permission to ask Maddy to marry him. On their way there, Maddy jokingly said "wouldn't it be so cute if you proposed today?" This was something Maddy said just about every time they went out and did something, I mean she had only been asking when he was going to propose for a year now. Brendan of course bought Maddy the Christmas tree she wanted and matching Grinch pajama's that she just had to wear. They went home, set up the tree and drank hot chocolate in their matching pajamas. As they finished, Brendan called her over to the other side of the tree saying an ornament was out of place. When she came around the corner he was down on one knee and asked her to marry him. After about 5 "reaaalllyy"s out of Maddy's mouth she finally said "yes!"

This story has yet to be told. This has been a story that we have been dreaming about and planning for so long, especially Maddy. We are so excited for this new chapter and can't wait to have you be a part of our story that we will tell to our children one day! We will see you there!
