Ours is a modern love story. We had both been living in Tampa for about a year and had our fair share of dating horror stories. This led us both to Bumble, a dating app in which you create a profile and scroll one-by-one through profiles of local singles. You swipe right if you are interested and luckily, we both swiped right! Then the woman has 24 hours to contact the man or your match expires. He always loves to point out that I made the first move, but that was up to the app, haha! Bill had just returned from a wedding and says he almost didn't respond because he was so exhausted and didn't feel like carrying on a conversation. But after looking through my profile, he just couldn't resist! ;) We began talking, but since I was leaving to visit Maryland for Easter in just a few days, we were unsure if this would fizzle out before we even had a chance to meet. Fate couldn't let that happen! We got a severe thunderstorm here in Tampa and my flight home was cancelled! My mom was beside herself, but I decided to turn a negative into a positive and asked Bill if he would meet me for dinner the next day. He agreed and we went to eat at one of our now favorite places- Red Mesa Cantina. We had margaritas, nachos, and tacos and then headed to Park & Rec for some games. We saw each other twice more that week and fell head over heels! During COVID, Bill moved into my house, we traveled to Key West, and worked together through tragedy and happiness. Labor Day weekend 2021, he proposed in front of my family in my parent's beautiful backyard. It was a perfect intimate night and I said yes before he could even finish asking. : We started wedding planning and then got our biggest surprise of all: an adorable little wedding crasher would be arriving in July 2022! We cannot wait to celebrate our love with the people who mean the most to us and are so excited to introduce everyone to baby Rahn.
