Flight
We recommend flying into Milan MXP airport. Many cities offer direct flights! The other, smaller airport in Milan (LIN) is also an option, but makes it more difficult if you want to take the train to Como (see "Getting to Como"). If you plan to arrive from elsewhere in Italy or Europe, train is a great option. You can go into "Milano Centrale" or "Milano Nord Cadorna" and then catch a connecting train to Como (see "Getting to Como").
Train
Once in Tremezzo, you won't need a car to get around. Therefore, we recommend taking the train to Como and then a Ferry to your hotel. It's very quick and each ticket is about 5-10E pp. To/From MXP Airport: Take the train to Como Nord Lago via Saronno. On the train website, enter "Malpensa Aeroporto" to "Como Nord Lago" to see the schedule. Travel Time - 1.5hrs To/From Downtown Milan: "Milano Centrale" to "Como S. Giovanni." Travel Time - 40min. OR "Milano Nord Cadorna" to "Como Nord Lago." Travel Time - 1hr To/From LIN Airport: There is no way to get to Como by train only. You can take a shuttle bus to "Milano Centrale", or you could take an Uber directly to Como (~150E) Once in Como, the ferry runs every ~15 minutes and is inexpensive. See FAQ for more information on trains and ferries.
Rental Car
If you prefer, you can also rent a car or book a car/shuttle. If you prefer to rent a car, keep in mind the roads into Tremezzo are windy.

Travel Note
Lake Como is big. The town of Como is on the southern tip of the lake, closest to Milan. All events during our wedding weekend will be taking place in or around Tremezzo, which is about a 40 minute drive from Como. The roads in Como are tight, it's not easy to get cabs and private taxi boats are very expensive - so we highly recommend staying in Tremezzo or Cadennabia. Once in Tremezzo, we'll provide transportation when needed to weekend events, and you can easily grab a ferry (very inexpensive) to other parts of the lake, like Bellagio and Cernobbio, or to get back to Como + Milan.
Travel Note
If you're looking for an alternative town to stay to Tremezzo, Bellagio is right across the lake from Tremezzo and the ferry goes between Tremezzo and Bellagio frequently. The ferries run until midnight so you'll be able to get back and forth from the rehearsal dinner, and to the wedding boat. If you chose to stay here, we can have the wedding boat drop you off at the end of the night since our wedding will go late! If you are driving to Bellagio, please keep in mind that the roads on the east side of the lake (where Bellagio is located) are very windy. If you have any questions about where to stay, please feel free to reach out to us!
Hotel
We will be staying here! It is also the location of the rehearsal dinner.
Hotel
This hotel is a 7 minute walk from GH Tremezzo and where we recommend as a more affordable option. Most our guests are staying here.

See FAQ page for some other suggestions. But please keep proximity in mind per our notes above.
House Or Rental
If you chose to rent a villa, please keep in mind a few things: 1. Since it's high season, nearly all villa rentals have minimum night stays, and many require Saturday to Saturday rentals. 2. We highly recommend only booking a villa in Tremezzo, Cadennabia or Bellagio, in walking distance to the ferry stops in each town. See "Important Info" - you don't want to rely on cabs or cars while you are there! 3. Check for AC!!
