We met on the dating app, Bumble, late January of 2022. On February 3rd we went on our first date at Casa del Barco, where we sipped margaritas, told our stories, and laughed out loud the entire evening. From this point on we became inseparable....a trip to the whiskey bar, a stroll through the Fine Arts museum, concerts, winery trips, and hours long conversations at "The 805" (Rafaela's apartment in the city).

Paul planned a quiet getaway at Fort Lewis Lodge in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains (photo below). He made us hike up an entire mountain to the perfect lookout spot. The setting was beautiful with leaves falling and not another soul in sight. I should have known something was off since he carried a Patagonia sling that I had never seen before. He claimed that he was carrying gloves to keep us warm. We walked and talked for a bit until finally we found a spot where we could sit and take in the fresh air and beautiful scenery. A few minutes later, he's looking through this sling and pulls out a blue Tiffany box. I knew at that point that this hike was not just Paul's way of getting me to work out haha! We are so excited to share this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in December!
