Bobbie & Rae met at Cocoon Room in 2012 where Rae was the Owner/Artist and Bobbie was teaching a pop-up yoga class series. They are both avid cyclists and enjoy mutual friendships in the bicycle community. They practice yoga together. Rae & Aytan had their first date at Bobbie’s Vegan Dinner & a movie night January 2, 2016. That Fall, Aytan & Rae moved into that same home, their first apartment together and adopted Bobbie’s cat, Phinny. Thanks for officiating this wedding, Bobbie!
Trina Daegenhardt
Mate of Honor
Triiiiiiiina (*must be hollered*) is the Mate of Honor! Trina and Rae met when Rae was teaching a yoga class in Riverwest. Soon after they met again while volunteering at the Riverwest co-op. In April 2016, Trina joined Rae’s band, Duzt, and has contributed haunting violin and strikingly sweet yet powerful vocals for Duzt’s debut forthcoming EP “Schemes for Growth” & several singles. Humble and quiet with a sense of humor that sneaks up on you, she has always been a supportive friend to Rae, both artistically and emotionally. Rae is an auntie to Trina & Paul’s new baby, Nora. She is best little guest goddess of this wedding. Congrats, Trina. Welcome to the family, Nora!

Rae & Posy met acting & dancing in The Quasimondo Theatre in 2015. Posy is like a big-sister and role-model for Rae. Her and her husband are like older siblings the two are a bit of a “role model couple,” to Rae & Aytan. They are looked up to reverently & lovingly. Posy is an incredible Artist and Friend. She will be CO-MCing the wedding reception with her husband, groomsman, Kirk Thomsen. Posy, Kirk, Aytan, and Rae collaborated in a theatre and music piece in Summer 2019 entitled, “I’m a Father Under construction.”

Rae and Kirk met when performing in The Quasimondo Theatre. Aytan met Kirk through Rae. As an artist, a friend, and as a couple’s role model, Kirk’s influence on our relationship is notable and positive. We’re thankful for his presence in our lives, and for participating in this important day .Kirk will be Co-MC’ing the wedding with his wife, Matron of Honor, Posy Knight. Kirk, Posy, Aytan, and Rae collaborated in a theatre and music piece in Summer 2019 entitled, “I’m a Father Under construction,” of which Kirk was the director.

Khine has had a role of wise older sister to Rae since their first meeting in 2016 at Hot Yoga Milwaukee. The two collaborated on a pop-up shop last summer. Khine is a fascinating multi-faceted artist and a deep water and it is truly an honor to have her with us on this day. ***We will be thinking of Khine as she is no longer able to attend****

Anton and Aytan met almost 2 decades ago through Aytan’s sister, Dania. He’s been a friend and teacher to Aytan and we’re honored to have him with us on this auspicious day.
Ximena Duque

Ximena met Rae when they were leading a yoga class in Riverwest in 2018. They connected deeply and have grown a lot together in the last few years. They continue to practice together and to this day Ximena is Rae’s shining pupil and dear friend. Ximena is one of the most caring and kind people out there. She also helps Rae with her Spanish. Bless you, sweet soul!

Devin & Rae have choreographed & danced in a piece together at Pridefest and also performed as back-up dancers for D’Amato at both Summerfest & Rock The Green. RaeVin Swoops In! The two also practice yoga together and have shared a tightly fused bond since day one! Thanks for your energy, Devin!

Tommy & Aytan met when Tommy moved to Milwaukee in 2018. Tommy lent his Tuba genius to Aytan & Rae’s band shortly thereafter and is a dear friend to them both. A truly caring, fun, and creative person, we are honored he will be joining us!
Kelsey Lee

Kelsey & Rae met when performing with The Quasimondo Theatre in various productions in 2015 and beyond. They have also choreographed and performed their own dance piece together. Kelsey is a creative powerhouse and a newlywed! Congrats, bae!

Greg and Aytan met some 15 years ago and have become good friends over the years. Aytan trusts him like an older brother. Greg is always a loving caregiver to Phinny & Zales while the couple lives abroad in winters.

Isa and Rae crossed paths and taught yoga together at Hot Yoga Milwaukee In 2019. Isa’s earthly disposition and down-to-earth, humble temperament can be felt upon first meeting. The woman is a spiritual force and wise beyond her years. The two have since had some very exciting adventures in nature with bubbling springs, thunderstorms, gardens, and car breakdowns. Rae hopes to confide in Isa for many years to come. Your presence is divine, Isa. Thank you for coming and baking the Vegan-GF “no BS” wedding cake! ;)

Mark is one of the most generous people we know. He helped Rae & Aytan move-in together via bicycle trailer on no notice. He also hosted them in his home as roommates for 6 months a few years later. Leyton and Rae met around 2012 through brilliant group bike rides in the Milwaukee bicycle community. They have collaborated together on a few photography projects for Cocoon Room & The Shepherd Express several years back with Leyton as Rae’s model. She’s also a talented film and visuals professional and a bunch of fun to laugh with. We are very blessed to have her wild and confident photographic eye on our wedding. Sally is a high-school friend of Aytan’s. (Shorewood High) Sally will be providing the amazing flower crowns for both spouses, Rae’s bouquet, and blooms for the wedding party and the day! The wedding party is coming together to create and decorate using Sally’s blooms to make floral arrangements, backdrops, and wall hangings and will install them as group art on the day of the celebration. Sally owns Milwaukee Flower Co. She also met up with the couple in 2018 when they were living in Vietnam. Thank you for your talents and friendship, Sally!

Aytan & Rae have both known Jordan for years and have experienced joyful times together primarily playing music with Duzt, practicing yoga, attending sound baths, and riding bicycles. Azealia “Zales” Luck

Zales has been a loyal healer, friend, and assistant to Rae since she was 5 months old. Zales is now nearly 9 year old and still enjoys walks about in the yard and neighborhood with Rae, attacking plastic, and cuddling up close. She met Aytan in 2016 and simply adores him and demands brushing. Aytan babysat Zales for 3 weeks while Rae visited Japan when they started dating in 2016. Zales was impressed. ;) Thank you for your service to the Luck family, Zales.
Phineas “Phinny Boi” Luck

Phinny was waiting for Rae & Aytan when they moved into their first house together in 2016. That house was the house of Bobbie Mango, officiant of the wedding. Bobbie was not able to take Phineas out of state with them, so Rae & Aytan adopted him. When he’s not dwelling in the basement, frolicking in the yard at dusk, 12-year-old Phinny is quite the affectionate friend to the couple and to his sister, Zales! You’re Loved, Phinny BOI!
