When is your actual wedding ceremony / union ritual?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony is the sunrise / morning of August 16, 2020 and is only for us & the wedding party. All guests are welcome to celebrate with us at the reception!

Question

What if we cannot attend the reception celebration in Grant Park due to Covid-19?

Answer

The wedding venue will change to our residence in Riverwest, WI. Primarily the large backyard. :) Rain or Shine, covid or not, it’s happening!

Question

What if I can’t make the wedding because I cannot travel due to Covid-19 or another reason, or if I am sick?

Answer

We wanted to let everyone know, especially those who have young children or have to travel into Milwaukee, that if they do not feel safe traveling or attending our event due to Covid-19, they should remain home. We’ve now slimmed the guestlist down even further to the wedding party + 25 additional family / friends for a total of 40. Please check your email in the next few days and instead consider attending our Divine Union 1-Year Anniversary Celebration on August 14, 2021. We want to keep our loved ones safe, so having less people traveling in and less babies/young children seems wise. Kindly View Details on the Schedule Page as they arrive and check email. We will update guests via email as well. Stay safe!

Where’s the registry? I cannot attend and I would like to send a gift. Where do I send it?

First of all, gifts are not necessary, thus we do not have a registry. What about social distancing?

Answer

Both our ceremony and reception are outdoors. The number of our initial wedding reception guests decreased from 250, to 100 and is now only 40 due to Covid-19. Please consider attending our 1st wedding anniversary next August 2021 if we have no longer able to have you attend this year. Many of our dear friends throughout the world will no longer be flying in, and we are happy to have a smaller wedding with whomever can attend. We want you to be and feel safe. We have plenty of space at our reception location and backup location for guests to enjoy their time 6ft apt. If you know someone and want to hug them, get consent. Be respectful. When meeting a new person, instead of a handshake, try a wave, bow, or a Vulcan greeting. You can wear a mask if you wish. If you are sick or at higher risk, stay home. We are stoked to share this day with valued friends and family, but we will have a wedding anniversary party also on 8/14/2021 if the universe allows!

Why no alcohol?

Answer

Our wedding is a spiritual event. We hope you will respect this and keep it sacred by leaving the alcohol at home. We also do not have a permit to have alcohol at this “special event,” in the park. We will not be obtaining one. It’s fine if you like to drink at parties but this is not a drinking party so please not bring alcohol. If you bring it, you will be asked store it in your vehicle. If you are drunk, you will be asked to leave. Thank you for sharing the high vibrations of this event and keeping it sacred. We ask if you attend this wedding that you keep an open mind and have some experiences without alcohol intoxication.

Why no meat?

Answer

Our event will respect the ideal of Ahimsa, non-violence in thought, word, and deed. Please do not bring meat, guns, or poor or damaging attitudes to the wedding. Please do bring a vegan or vegetarian item if you can contribute to the pot luck. We appreciate your understanding! See you soon!
