Nice areas to walk around, do a little shopping and grab a bite to eat. Favorite place to eat in Pāʻia is Tobi’s (poke and shave ice). Mama’s fish house is also located in if Pāʻia you are up for something a little more formal. Favorite boutique shop in Makawao is Driftwood Maui.
Watch the sunrise at the summit of the volcano. Please note reservations are required for sunrise. Reservations are now available, online only, up to 60 days in advance of your sunrise visit. You can call the reservation line at 1-877-444-6777 to make a reservation over the phone. A small number of last-minute tickets are released online two days beforehand at 4:00 PM HST. The website will show tickets as sold out until 4:00 PM. No reservations for sunset are required at this time.
Beautiful drive, but might not be the best idea if you get easily car sick. Some of the most insane views are located on this side of the island. If you have time we recommend staying overnight in hana.
Beautiful hike. This is the location we took our engagement photos at.
