Our story began the summer of 2013 in San Jose, California. We were both out one night at a local lounge called Myth. One of Ashley’s friends, Hanhnhi, thought it would be funny if she pushed her into a random guy. Charlie happened to be said random guy that night. We danced and bonded over our mutual love for Hawaii. A few weeks later Ashley returned from a trip to Hawaii and Charlie took her to a vegan spot called "Good Karma" for their first official date. Little did he know that Ashley was more of a carnivore than vegan. As we drank our flight of craft beer he soon realized this and found a nearby Thai restaurant to eat at instead. Long story short after dinner he gave our leftovers to a homeless man on the street and from then on Ashley knew he was a keeper! 8 years worth of memories later; we’ve shared countless concerts and music festivals together, adventures and travels, huge life events from moving into an apartment together to buying our first house, raising our babies Cash and Legend, and most importantly integrating our families and friends in eachothers lives.

Charlie and Ashley were on Maui for the Thanksgiving holiday. On Ashley’s last full day of the trip they went up to Poli Poli to watch the sunset and take some photos. As Ashley was busy setting up her tripod and camera; Charlie secretly set his drone to autopilot, got down on one knee and asked her to marry him!
