We met during aquatic ecology class during our senior year of college. When we accidentally wore nearly identical flannels to our first date, perhaps we should have taken it as a sign. The pandemic and different job paths led us each in our own directions, though we stayed close friends as we navigated the changes that came with adulting. When Abby moved to Colorado, Jacob thought that was a lifestyle he could get behind, and shortly thereafter he found himself in a master's program at Colorado State University. Since moving out west, we have started building our life together in Paonia, enjoying hiking, ultimate frisbee, pottery, lots of live music, and the other amenities our small town offers. We have enjoyed every moment that made us the couple we are today, and look forward to sharing this next moment in our lives together with our loved ones.
