Maid of Honor
My best friend and sister! The coolest girl I know. My favorite memory with Shaye would be growing up together and playing with all our toys. Shaye had really good voice inflections and made each of our Polly Pockets have unique voices and personalities. I loved playing Animal Crossing on our Nintendo DS and getting to conquer the last level of Super Mario Brothers on the Wii, growing up in church and playing soccer together, spending summers swimming in the pool and being sprayed by the Crazy Daisy, running around the yard as dad pelted us with soccer balls during soccer tag, and having people in elementary school call her my "mini-me." And even though I deny it, I love that we can see our reflections in one another.
Matron of Honor
Lex and I met through a work-study job at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Our job was to contact alumni of our college and beg them to donate money. It was not our favorite thing in the world, but I'm thankful for that experience because Lex is one of the sweetest most loyal friends I have. My favorite memories are surprising Lex after her engagement, being a part of her wedding party, and just getting to sit and talk with her about life.
Bridesmaid
I met Liz through Lex. When I first met Liz, she was super quiet and I couldn't tell if she liked me or not. She has ended up becoming one of my best girls. My favorite memory with Liz is whenever we tried to wade through this local creek to find this infamous rope swing everyone at college talked about. It had recently rained and the creek turned into a rushing rapid. I stuck my foot in the water and almost got shot downstream. Liz pulled me back to shore and we watched as my Jesus Sandal (Jandal) floated downstream. I was pretty dejected, but Liz told me that the stream cut through campus, and if we could beat it back, I may be able to catch my Jandal. We raced back to campus (running several stop signs), and 30 minutes later, I was reunited with my Jandal.
Bridesmaid
I've known Anna since about 7th grade. We played soccer together until Anna's senior year of high school. I remember being so bummed after she graduated. Some of my favorite memories with Anna are our Sonic Runs, watching "She's the Man," playing slug bugs with my Dad on the way to soccer practice, and enduring a soccer banquet together with our two unbelievably awkward dates.
Bridesmaid
I met Ose through our mutual friend, Sophia. We were both looking for a roommate for the Mini May-Mester of our Sophomore year of college. We ended up living together for 3 weeks, but it felt like I had known her for years. My favorite memories with Osereme are singing Beyonce in the car, exploring Austin, cooking meals together, celebrating our 21st birthday together, going to our friend's Lakehouse for Labor Day, and just getting to do college together.
Bridesmaid
When I first met Ashley in 6th grade, she thought I was weird (and still thinks I am weird). Even though we were only in the same class 2 times in a 7-year period, we stayed good friends throughout life. It helped that our houses were only a half-mile apart growing up! My favorite memories with Ashley are riding our bikes around (adventures to nowhere), trying to teach our individual instruments to one another” (and me almost breaking her flute), going on vacation to Florida and eating crab, introducing her to my arch nemesis (now her fiancé), and deciding to set my wedding date a week after her and Brad's. I am so grateful I got to grow up with you, Ash.
Best Man
Andrew has been my protector and best friend from the beginning. In all the times we've moved schools, somehow his friends always realized and honored his incredible respect for me as his little brother. They fell in love with me because he loved me so very much. All the way from elementary to high school, his friends would treat me like their little brother and pick me up in the air and twirl me around. In high school, it was flattering and just a bit embarrassing. Because of his unbelievable humility and strength, I respect the man that he has become. I will forever adore him as my big brother and friend.
Groomsman
Throughout my life, my oldest brother Landon has always possessed such empathy for whatever I was going through. He has been patient, sincere, and loving. One of my favorite memories of our relationship was when he would use a headphone splitter so that I could listen to and watch him play video games. I loved simply sitting next to him. Today, he is brilliant, passionate, and kind. He applauds me, regardless of the circumstance. I adore you, Landon.
Groomsman
Ryan is the most loyal, devoted friend I have had. The time we have spent together in high school and as roommates in college has been so fun. He has always, always cared for me as his friend. When we would have periods where we didn't talk as much (usually because I was on the phone with Rocky), he would come into my room and tell me that he missed me. I'm so glad that he is with me on my wedding day.
Groomsman
This is my man. From the silly middle schooler that he was when we met to the man of God he is now, I have always loved and cherished him. If ever I want to laugh, need advice, or just want to talk, he is the guy I call. I have seen him grow in many ways, and I admire him as much as I love him. It was with Will that I first talked about the type of girl I'd want to marry. We came to find out that we basically wanted to marry the girl version of one another. Lol. When I met Rocky, he was the one I went to, comparing her to our middle school dreams. He confirmed my belief that she was even more than that which I had hoped for.
Groomsman
Jacob is an amazingly talented guy, but he is so very humble. He has instilled within me a reminder of what is important, Jesus and others. I am awed by what he has accomplished, and so appreciative for his friendship. He has always so very kind with his words, both to me and others. I'm so happy for him and his fiance Sierra, who is also one of my very best friends. They are truly great together(:
Groomsman
Logan is one of a kind. He is soft spoken, compassionate, and wise. He has honored me as his friend. From the time we met in high school, he has valued my family and shown such incredible respect for my parents. He has given me joy and insight in times when life has been hard. He has always possessed a genuine interest in my walk with Christ, and I love him for it.
