Do I need a visa to travel to India?

Answer

All European, American and British citizens are eligible for an e-visa when traveling to India. We recommend applying at least 30 days in advance using the link below. Official visa application link: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html There are websites/ agents that help with Indian visas too. We have not used these previously. A common one available on online is Ivisa. Link: https://www.ivisa.com/india/apply-now Please check in advance of your journey to determine if any additional vaccinations are required for your trip.

How do I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

We will be arranging a coach for our family and friends traveling from Mumbai on the 6th of January. If you’d like to join the coach, please contact our wedding planners via Whatsapp on +91 9226605803. If you would like to travel independently, we recommend using Intercity Uber as an alternative.

What are the best ways to get around within the cities?

Answer

We recommend using Uber for transportation around Mumbai and Pune because of its safety and reliability. If you haven’t already, we advise downloading the app before your trip to ensure smooth travel arrangements.

Will I need data / roaming while I am in India?

Answer

UK data roaming can be expensive (please check with your local UK provider). You can get a Pay-as-you-go sim from Lebara in the UK. A top up of £10.00 gives you a 20GB roaming allowance in India for no extra cost. e-Sims are a great option to consider too. Having access to Whatsapp will be important (couple of days before and during the wedding) as our wedding co-ordinators may need to get in touch with you regarding coach logistics etc. Please remember to cancel the Lebara connection when you get back or you might continue getting charged a monthly top-up.
