The Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us.

Rachel Snyder

Bride

Tom Goodman

Groom

Kelly Blair

Maid of Honor

Kelly is a late 20s urbanite who lives in Indianapolis. Urban and Indianapolis, did she say those together? Yes she did, go Pacers! When Kelly isn't writing best selling bios, she is taking pictures of her dog Milton, watching Netflix, cross stitching, or being an amazing HR professional. How we met: Kelly met Rachel in 8th grade. There were braces, glasses, and a blue satin beret. The following years were filled with midnight premieres, trips, bonfires, late night drives, and more laughs than either could count. Kelly credits the success of their friendship to the fact that they never: lived together, went to college together, and that they only dated a set of best friends once. Kelly would also like to maintain rights to be the permanent third wheel in Tom and Rachel's relationship.

Chappy Sullivan

Best Man

Chappy is from Duxbury, Massachusetts, a beach town south of Boston. He is currently a Thermal Engineer for the Space & Intelligence division of Harris. He likes talking about robots, and has recently become a new dog parent to Waffles; who for all we know is a robot. He hopes that someday Tom can convince him that football is a worthwhile sport, if only for the tailgating. How we met: I met Tom freshman year of college; we managed to get into the same training group in our on campus job, Tech Crew. The first year we were miraculously deemed cool enough to be invited to the Tech Crew Halloween party and the rest is history. Fast forward a few years and Tom and I were best friends living in a house in the swamp. 122 not have been the cleanest place in the world, but we made it our home.

Patricia Artman

Maid of Honor

Patricia is an LMT and ophthalmic photographer who lives in Rochester, NY with her trusty kitty Tilly. When not working, Patty enjoys cooking, hiking, running, and true crime podcasts. How we met: I first met Rachel as an unfortunate loner in middle school when by chance we sat at the same lunch table. Once we discovered a mutual love for all things Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter we spent countless afternoons discussing cinematic inaccuracies and correcting LOTR trivia questions. You know how you look back at high school and think "man the things I did were so close to being very very dumb teenage tragedies?" Well Kelly, Rachel and I had a lot of those (ask for details). I met Tom on the same day that Rachel met Tom, sometime in March 2008. I thought he was ok. I jest! He's great!

Bill Goodman

Groomsman

Bill lives in Brockport, NY with his wife Kathy, daughter Nora, and cat Mico. Bill is a family man and enjoys playing video games and cooking. Bill is also a wealth of knowledge with interesting, though usually useless, information; go ahead, ask him anything! How we met: I met Tom in the fall of ‘89, in the heart of Louisiana, when he was brought into this world by our lovely mother. Growing up we did and shared everything together. From our love of video games, to 40&1 baseball, to Boy Scouts and tech crew. We were each other's shadow. Tom will always be my first friend, Player 2, partner in crime and little brother.

Meghan Burns

Bridesmaid

Meghan works as a paralegal for a firm in Raleigh, North Carolina. When she's not crafting or watching Bravo, she's out enjoying the Carolina sunshine in the summer, or duck hunting in the Fall. How we met: It was when I heard Whitney Houston on second floor Main at Wells College when I knew I had to be friends with this girl. After that she would ceremoniously stop by to grab one of the water bottles that I had stashed under my bed before driving to RIT for the weekend. Little did I know that Spring semester how close of friends we would become and the rest is history. We went on so many adventures and our friendship is now going on 9 years. Even though I have since moved to North Carolina, we still talk regularly, and visit each other as much as possible. It's all for the story.

Jordan Simpson

Groomsman

Jordan was born with a glass of scotch in one hand and a cigar in the other. He grew up in Binghamton where he learned how to have fun, even in a vacant lot. Jordan's loves have always been helping others and technology, so he took them and made it into a career as a Systems Administrator. Jordan was the catalyst for Rachel and Tom's meeting. He met the bride in high school, where they played one too many games of manhunt, and drank too many energy drinks, and he met the groom on the first day of college, where they realized that bagel bites and video games would fuel their friendship for a decade, and unknowingly brought Rachel and Tom together for a weekend of fun at RIT, and well, the rest is history.

Kate Cerrone

Bridesmaid

Kate is from a small upstate NY town which mispronounces its own name (GREEN-WITCH instead of GREH-NITCH). She is an Employer Brand Manager, which means she makes her job look cool on Facebook. She likes mid-century modern furniture & reading (and talking) about Russia too much. Someday, she'd love to found a socialist commune & artist's collective, preferably situated in Vermont or Arizona. How we met: I dragged myself to a college formal I was sort of hating, and this tall girl swept by and complimented me on my dress! We lived on the same floor, and Rachel made it a point later on to seek me out to hang out. Ever since, we've been bros. I will always have extremely fond memories of our songs about Evan, improv, drunken history, & building elaborate fantasy lives for our professors.

Evan Williamson

Groomsman

Evan currently works for Amtrak as a train conductor. He wanted to be a pilot but he had flat feet. When he's off the rails, he enjoys rescuing local fauna, caring for his pet crawfish Reginald, taking naps, and not doing the dishes. How we met: Evan met the bride the first day of college when they went on an adventure to get milkshakes. Since then, they've gone on numerous escapades, most of which were the bride's zany ideas that Evan went along with and later shared how that may have gotten them killed or worse, made them have fun. Evan currently lives with the bride and the groom, and wonders how he could be so unlucky.

Jess Norris

Bridesmaid

l met Rachel in high school and we bonded over our love for music and the ability to quote movies from memory. Our friendship grew and the fun didn’t stop there. Imagine our joy to discover we both chose Wells College. So we took the party there and spent the next 4 years laughing, and learning a lot of life together. One college adventure took us to Rochester where she met Tom. I think I knew then that they were destined to tie the knot. After Wells we learned that time and distance didn't affect our friendship. We could see each other after months and it was like no time had passed. I can’t explain how lucky I’ve felt to have Rachel in my life. She has helped me through difficult times and I not only consider her one of my best friends, but family, and am honored to be part of their day.

John Norris

Groomsman

I met Tom in normal fashion; through a friend of a friend--through my wife, Jess, and our friend Rachel. Tom and I bonded over an appreciation for cheap beer in a snow storm. Libations and snow continued to be a theme throughout our friendship. One February day, Tom and I found ourselves knee-deep in snow, trying to push a Ford SUV out of a snow bank while Rachel and Jess shared wine in the back seat. Our friendship grew as we discovered a shared love for Star Wars, and anytime we get together it’s not complete without a session of X-Wing. My friendship with Rachel always conjures fond memories of lake houses, Rolling Rock, and Mac n’ cheese. Rachel and I found ourselves working at the same university, and while our time as colleagues was brief, we’re now more family than friends.

Laura Newhouse

Bridesmaid

Laura is a Residence Life coordinator at Penn State University. She spends most of her days with her family, her husband Andrew and her daughter Eleanor. You can find Laura at Target, Starbucks, or on the couch watching Mystery Science Theater 3000 (that is if she's not out smashing the patriarchy). How we met: Laura and Rachel met in August of 2014 at Penn State University. Nothing bonds people faster than political and psychological warfare. Laura and Rachel spent most of their time preparing for, doing, and debriefing battles. There was not a man, woman, or talking bird that could match their razor wit. In their down time they loved walking to the Business Building and getting coffee and discussing puns and mops with googly eyes.

Tom Carpenter

Groomsman

Who is Tom Carpenter? Who is he really? Tom C., or the Real Tom, is a champion among men. The first boyfriend of one maid of honor Kelly Blair, (sixth grade romance is really something) and winner of all games played. A Raiders fan, a video game titleholder, and gold medalist in many games involving alcohol, Tom is truly a legend. The only thing Tom has ever lost was his cell phone, somewhere in the ether of 2008. Tom can also, like the groom, sleep through anything. Tom enjoys ham sandwiches, which on a certain day, can be confused for a quesadilla. How we met: I met the groom, aka other Tom, freshman year of college. Since that fateful day, it has been a competition to see who can be the best Tom, and who truly is the real Tom.
