If you’re planning to visit the beautiful seaside town of Port de Sóller, there’s a fun and scenic way to get there that we highly recommend! 🚂 Step 1: Historic Train from Palma to Sóller Start your journey on a vintage wooden train that’s been running since 1912! It leaves from Plaça d’Espanya in Palma and takes you through the mountains and countryside to the charming town of Sóller. The ride takes about 1 hour and is full of beautiful views. Spend some time to walk around and explore Soller. 🚋 Step 2: Tram from Sóller to Port de Sóller After exploring Sóller, hop onto a cute open-air tram that will take you down to Port de Sóller in about 15 minutes. It’s a scenic ride through town and along the waterfront. Tickets can be bought on their website 7 days in advance. 🔁 Getting Back to Palma To return, just take the tram back up to Sóller and catch the train back to Palma. OR take a direct bus from Port de Sóller back to Palma—it’s faster and cheaper, about 40 minutes.
Definitely one of our favourite places in Mallorca ❤️ A postcard-perfect village in the Tramuntana mountains. Cobbled streets, cute cafés, and vibrant flower pots create a storybook setting. Don’t miss the ancient monastery and a slice of coca de patata (Mallorcan sweet bun). It can be crowded during high season. We would recommend getting there before 9am to secure a parking spot and enjoy the empty cobbled streets before big tours arrive. Stop by “Forn i Pastisseria Ca’n Molinas” for a traditional Mallorcan breakfast. Don’t miss the peaceful garden seating tucked away in the back—perfect for a relaxing start to your day. A Day Trip to Deià If you’re up for a scenic escape, Deià is a must-visit. This charming mountain village is known for its dramatic views, artistic vibe, and peaceful beauty—it’s the kind of place that makes you instantly relax. While you’re there, we highly recommend stopping at La Residencia’s Bar Miró or Restaurant Miró for lunch or drinks with the best view in town. Nestled in the hillside, this spot offers breathtaking views over the valley and sea—perfect for a long, lazy afternoon. Just be sure to book in advance—this gem is no secret!
Calling all road trip lovers and scenery chasers—this one’s a Mallorca must. Rent a car, cue the Mediterranean playlist, and hit the road from Port d’Andratx to Valldemossa along the dramatic Ma-10 coastal route. This drive takes you through some of the most jaw-dropping landscapes on the island—clifftop bends, panoramic sea views, pine forests, and charming villages perched in the hills. Every twist and turn is chef’s kiss. Highlights along the way: • 🏞️ Mirador de Ricardo Roca – Pull over here for unreal coastal views • 🧺 Lunch in Banyalbufar – A tiny terraced village with amazing sea views and rustic charm • 🌲 Winding roads through the Tramuntana mountains • 🧁 Arrive in Valldemossa for a post-drive treat—don’t leave without trying the famous coca de patata and a café con leche Tip: Go during the day for the best lighting and visibility. And maybe skip this one if you get motion sick—the views are worth it, but the road is curvy!
