It was the fall of 2017 and we both attended Ave Maria University in Naples Florida. I was in my last year of nursing school working as a student worker in the Athletic training room. Tommy was a pitcher for the baseball team who unfortunately was injured and needed a lot of rehab to get back to pitching. One day I was filling up some water coolers for a practice and Tommy was sitting getting his arm iced after his practice. I walked past him and unexpectedly he asked me a question to get my attention. Me, focused on my music in my headphones and getting my job done, was caught completely off guard by his question. When I looked up to see who said something, our eyes met and I knew right then that he was the one. Fast forward one month, when we first started dating I found out he felt the exact same way and the rest is our story.
