Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Formal & semi-formal attire

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have limited space, so we’ve extended invitations to those guests specifically listed on your invitation. If you have any questions about this, please contact us!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We kindly ask that family and friends attend without children, adults only. Thank you for understanding!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive 20-30 minutes before the ceremony begins so we have time for guest photos, parking, and seating.

Question

Can guests sit anywhere at the church ceremony?

Answer

Please reserve the first pews for the wedding party and the immediate family of the Bride and Groom–thank you!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

We kindly ask guests consider some of the limited front entrance parking at St. Theresa, on Merle Hay Road, for those with mobility limitations and the bridal party shuttle. There is ample parking in the back entrances of St. Theresa, near University Avenue, if needed. The District Venue in Ankeny also has parking near the front and back entrances.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that guests arrange their own transportation from the hotels to the ceremony. Following the reception, no shuttle services will be provided, as the hotels are located within one block of the reception venue.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony or reception?

Answer

No, please refrain from taking photos and videos during the ceremony so our photographers can capture the moments. We happily invite family to remain at the church, following the ceremony, for group photos taken by our photographer! Feel free to take photos during the reception in Ankeny, but please avoid using flash. Our photographers will be happy to share official photos with you after the wedding!
