Question

How far is the venue to the nearest town?

Answer

The closest town to the venue is Woodland Park. Downtown Woodland Park is about a 25-minute drive to the venue. We will be providing transportation from the recommended hotels to the venue on Saturday, June 14. The address of the ranch is 9 Co Rd 78, Woodland Park, CO 80863

Question

Where is the best place to stay?

Answer

We've listed our hotel recommendations on the "Travel" tab of our website. You can also book an Airbnb, but note that we are only providing transportation from the recommended hotels. Also, please note Woodland Park recently passed a short-term rental ban, which is affecting the ability to book some Airbnbs in the Woodland Park city limits.

Question

What is the best way to get to the venue from Denver?

Answer

There are many routes available to get to the venue. Since there isn’t service at the ranch and nearby, we recommend downloading your route before you leave. If you are driving from Denver/Denver International Airport, DO NOT drive the Sedalia route. It is very steep, windy, and parts are unpaved. This is the best route to take from Denver: Take Hwy 285 to Pine Valley Road, which is paved the entire way and is a beautiful scenic drive along the North Fork of the South Platte River. Once you reach Deckers, you will take a right on CO-67 and then in 9 miles take a right on Abbey Ave. The last two miles from CO-67 to the Ranch is dirt. Drive time: Approximately 1 hour 40 minutes

Question

Is 4WD needed?

Answer

Woodland Park and Pikes Peak Ranch is accessible via well-maintained highways and roads, so 4WD is not required for getting into town. If you're planning to explore surrounding areas with off-road trails, 4WD may be needed.

Question

Will transportation be provided to the venue?

Answer

Yes, shuttles will be provided on Saturday, 6/14, from the Microtel at Woodland Park and Woodland Country Lodges hotels to the venue. It is about a 25-minute drive. Please see schedule info in the "Schedule" tab. Uber/Lyft are not available in Woodland Park.

Question

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking available at the venue. Follow the signs.

Question

Is there wi-fi and service at the venue?

Answer

THERE IS NO SERVICE AT THE RANCH! They have wi-fi at the ranch in all buildings and at the ceremony site. If you are driving from Colorado Springs/Woodland Park you will lose service 15 minutes from the property. If you are driving from Denver there is no service from when you turn off of 285 until the property. Plan accordingly by downloading maps on GPS. *Important note for those staying at the on-site cabins and need to make phone calls: Turn on Wi-Fi calling before you lose service. Once you lose service, you won't be able to follow the necessary prompts to set it up. For iPhone (iOS) • Open Settings. • Tap Cellular (or Mobile Data). • Select Wi-Fi Calling. • Toggle Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone to ON. • Follow any prompts to confirm. For Android • Open Settings. • Tap Connections (or Network & Internet). • Select Wi-Fi Calling. • Toggle Wi-Fi Calling to ON.

Question

How can I prepare for the high altitude?

Answer

Woodland Park is located at an altitude of 8,481 feet, and the air here is thinner, which can affect some people. Here are a few tips to help you prepare: - Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water leading up to the event and throughout your stay. - Avoid overexertion: If you’re not used to high altitudes, take it easy when you first arrive. - Pace yourself when drinking alcohol: At higher altitudes, alcohol can affect you more quickly. - Dress in layers: Even in the summer, temperatures can drop in the evenings, so bring layers.
