FAQs

Question

What can we expect for the wedding?

Answer

Something as unique as we are! This is an Indian-Western wedding celebrating our cultures, our families, our friends, and this next step in our relationship.

Question

How long is the shuttle?

Answer

One way from the farthest shuttle point (Masood's Lodge) is an 11 minute drive. We will have a 2 hour shuttle window on both ends of the wedding with multiple shuttles repeating round trips to the designated shuttle stops. Please plan enough time to park and shuttle to the venue.

Question

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We are hoping to have our ceremony outdoors - please be aware that it will be fall in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The reception dinner will take place on an outdoor patio with heaters, with dancing inside the Las Alas Lodge. While we will provide various heating options for our guests, please dress accordingly.

Question

...can I bring a camera?

Answer

We don't really want to see your phones out during the ceremony, but we do love cameras at the right time! **If you're a film camera person, bring your still and/or motion cameras! We will have a camera table setup and encourage guests to capture candid memories throughout the day and evening. We will provide some film, but roll donations are more than welcome. We plan to develop and integrate these photos into our wedding album!

Question

What kind of terrain can I expect at the venue?

Answer

The venue is a private property sitting amongst the beautiful redwood forests of Ben Lomond, CA. There are inclines, hills, and rough terrain. Event areas range from grass to paved or indoor areas. There are dirt trails in areas. We recommend comfortable formal footwear. Any heels should be very low, platform, or wide/chunky. If you have accessibility concerns, please reach out to us!

Question

What colors are the wedding party wearing?

Answer

In general reds, oranges, and greens are in our palette. The groom will be wearing sage green. We ask that guests not wear all black or white on the wedding day in general.

Question

I want to wear respectful Indian clothing, what would be appropriate?

Answer

Men: Kurta (these can range from casual to formal!) Women: Kurti, Saree, Salwar Kameez/Churidaar, Anarkali suit, or Dress. All of these can range from casual to semi-formal. A formal saree or salwar kameez would be appropriate at a wedding as a guest. Question

Any special rules?

Answer

YES!!! ***Please note: Our venue has a strict NO hard liquor policy. Only beer, wine, and champagne is allowed on the premises. Bringing hard liquor on the premises will result in our wedding being shut down. Please be respectful. All guests must also be off the property by 10pm on Saturday evening.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

While we love the beings you all have spawned, we unfortunately have a strict capacity and had to make some hard decisions. An extremely small amount of close VIP children are invited, those that are have been notified.

Question

Will there be a livestream link available?

Answer

Yes! We have many loved ones in other countries, as well as ones we just couldn't fit into our capacity. We will be extending remote invitations to all of those guests, we wish you could attend in person! Please let us know if you are invited to attend, but can't and are interested in a link!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We will update this as soon as formal invitations have been mailed. (Coming soon!)

For all the days along the way
