This disease kept us locked inside most of 2020, but it didn't prevent us from getting hitched! On September 19th, 2020, we held an intimate wedding ceremony and dinner party at our home in Vermont with a small group of 16 guests. Though it wasn’t the large soirée we had originally planned, our small gathering of close friends and family still felt like the perfect way to celebrate our love and partnership. Our magical, love-filled day truly could not have come together without the support of every single guest. From the whimsical lighting and decor, to the luscious garden floral arrangements, and the delicious cocktails and homemade cake with handmade cake topper, every detail had an extra special touch of love because we all made it happen together, despite the circumstances. But above all, the vows were the highlight of the weekend, especially Matt’s. We were brought to tears with his intimate and tender accounts of the early days of our relationship. And still after years of partnership, we continue to surprise and delight each other. Now, it is with heavy hearts that we have decided to cancel our 2021 big wedding celebration. After a year of coordinating, re-coordinating, and living through this global pandemic, we are pooped! After much consideration, we have decided not to plan a large party at our home with all of our original 140ish guests. While we always envisioned a larger gathering, we cannot imagine recreating the magic of our little wedding weekend. In lieu of planning a second wedding to host, we are looking forward to enjoying a Vermont summer full of camping, travel, and many projects around our homestead. We miss you all incredibly and would like to extend an invite to each of you to come visit us up in the Green Mountains once we're fully vaccinated at the end of May. We greatly appreciate your support and understanding. We hope to see you soon! Peace and Love, Rachel and Matt
