Question

What is the easiest way to travel in NYC?

Answer

New York City is a walking city. Grab your sneakers and a subway (MTA) pass. There are plenty of taxis and Uber or Lyft are available in the city as well.

Question

Should I get a rental car?

Answer

No! Parking is terrible, confusing and expensive. Subway travel is so easy using Google maps. If you are nervous about the subway/train system, just get an Uber or taxi. If you absolutely need a vehicle, we recommend talking to someone who lives in the city to learn the best places to park.

Question

How will I get from the TWA hotel to the church?

Answer

The easiest way to get to the church from the TWA hotel is to hire a cab, Uber or Lyft. Give yourself a good 1-2 hours to get into the city from the TWA hotel. Traffic can always delay your travels. There is a train that picks up directly in front of the TWA hotel as well and can get you into the city. Keep in mind, some public transportation has been modified due to COVID-19. We will provide a shuttle from St. Patrick's Cathedral back to the TWA for the reception.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

You should be seated in St. Patrick's Cathedral at least 10 minutes before the wedding starts. The wedding starts at 1pm, so plan to be there and seated by 12:40-12:50pm.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

You may bring a date if their name was indicated on the invitation and you provided a timely RSVP.

Question

Where will my children stay during the reception?

Answer

We are discouraging bringing small children under the age of 7 to the wedding. If you plan on bringing small children, please contact the bride, groom, or our wedding planner to discuss arrangements.

Question

Will I have to wear a mask?

Answer

Members of the bridal party are not required to wear masks when walking down the aisle. If you are sitting in a pew, you are required to wear a face covering. While walking on the streets of New York City, it is recommended to wear a face covering. During the reception, you are required to wear a face covering inside the TWA lobby, but you can remove it for the reception.

Question

What are the COVID-19 testing or vaccine requirements?

Answer

At this time, New York City is recommending but not requiring vaccination or a recent negative COVID test. TWA, Rainbow Room and St. Patrick's Cathedral have no specific requirements for group entry besides wearing a mask in public areas. If you are flying in, you may have to fill out a questionnaire regarding your potential exposure, testing, and vaccination status, but no specific quarantines are being enforced. The situation is improving daily, but please check local travel restrictions for updates.
