We can’t wait to celebrate our wedding in the beautiful Eastern Sierra with you! We moved to Mammoth Lakes, California in November 2020 and feel honored to have you join us in one of our favorite parts of the Eastern Sierra in July 2022.
We ask that all our guests have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 on our wedding day as an act of compassion towards us and our loved ones. We also ask that all guests take an at home test before attending any of our wedding festivities. Please stay home if you are not feeling well. We hope you are all able to join, but ask you make safe and healthy decisions about attending our special day!
We were engaged on a backpacking trip in July 2021 for Rachel’s birthday. We hiked from the Devil’s Postpile area outside of Mammoth Lakes to Ashley Lake. We were lucky enough to have the alpine lake to ourselves and spent the afternoon swimming and napping in the shade. The following morning, we hiked cross-country to Anona Lake, across meadows and granite. While resting at the lake, taking a few pictures, and dodging the mosquitos, Kevin pulled out the ringbox he had been hiding in his backpack and got down on one knee. Rachel said “yes” to Kevin’s proposal and squeezed the engagement onto her finger (altitude + hiking made the ring a tad tight— but only temporarily!)
