Wedding Party

Kristin Jett

Matron of Honor

I met Kristin back when I first moved to VA when we were part of the same young adult group at church. We actually didn’t start to get close until a couple years later when we ended up on the same singing team and small group for the worship team at that church. Since then, she has been a go-to friend for fun, relaxation, and venting (Praise The Lord). She was there for me constantly through the most painful season (3 years) of my life and I am forever grateful for her friendship and support. I attribute a lot of my remaining sanity to her. I am so glad that she has agreed to be my rock (other than Joey, of course) for our big day.

Alison Cho (soon-to-be Harlow)

Bridesmaid

Cho was the first friend I made in VA in 2012. At the time she was a co-leader for the young adult group that I joined at the church, and so she was the one who responded to my message inquiring about the group. She told me to meet them in the section they sit in during church services and said “you can’t miss me, I’m Asian.” Later, she texted to see if I’d like to join her for a walk with our dogs up to the Liberty U. monogram. We became great friends after that, and traveling adventurers together. It was a sad day for me when she decided to move back home to CA In 2018. We have stayed in close contact and our traveling adventures have continued as I’ve been able to visit her in CA and she met me in Las Vegas, and I am crazy honored to get to be a bridesmaid in her own wedding this Aug.

Amy Hatch

Bridesmaid

I have known Amy since our days at Gannon U. I can’t pinpoint the exact situation when we met, but I believe at first it was through our friend, Alison, that we spent more and more time together. Between Wednesday nights together at The Ark, honors history class, and then living together at The Kirk House for our junior and senior years, I have too many fond memories to recount here. I was honored to be a bridesmaid in her wedding several years ago, a memory I treasure and keep photos of on my fridge, bookcase, and desk at work. There is always inordinate laughter any time the three of us are together. I’m crazy excited to have her in my wedding now, I can’t imagine getting married without her there.

Alison Bartley

Bridesmaid

Alison is my other best friend from Gannon U. We had a special bond in our shared love for theatre. We spent many days and nights at the campus theatre painting sets, rehearsing, or just being weird theatre kids. When we weren’t in class or at the theatre, we were together at The Ark, or playing the “not study game” during our junior and senior years living together at the Kirk House. As I mentioned in Amy’s bio, there are too many memories & so much personal growth I experienced with both of these ladies; I cherish the times all three of us can be together, and I wish we all lived closer so it could happen more often. We were both in Amy’s wedding party, I’m so glad they can both be in mine now, & I can’t wait for the day Amy & I can hopefully be in hers.

Kent Pruitt

Best Man

Kent is my cousin and the brother I never had. He’s the only person I speak with on the phone regularly other than my parents and Rachel. We enjoy kayak fishing together and were on a fishing trip to Florida when the diamond finally got set in the engagement ring. He has a beautiful wife, Tiffany, and just recently had his second daughter. Having Kent by my side at the altar as my best man was never even a question.

Hunter Pruitt

Groomsman

Hunter is my nephew, the son of my older sister Wendy. We enjoy going to gun ranges for clay shooting and fishing. He usually outshoots me but, he gets to practice a lot more than I do (that’s my excuse anyway). I see a lot of myself in him, which is scary but I know he’ll be successful in life. Hunter is my parents’ only grandchild, and will probably remain that way for a couple more years, at least (sorry, mom).

John Hipsher

Groomsman

John is one of my coworkers at YakAttack, the dream job that I moved to Virginia for (and without which, never would have met Rachel). He has been a solid friend, and all-around cool dude, always providing a good time. Rachel jokes that he’s a bad influence and he encourages me to drink but, that’s what good friends are for. So if I look like I’m having a good time, you can be sure John is nearby somewhere. John enjoys kayak fishing and all other outdoor/indoor sports, and ladies, he is single *wink wink*

Patrick Dantonio

Groomsman

Patrick is another one of my coworkers at YakAttack. One of the reasons I decided to take the job and make the big move was because Patrick and John took me out after the interview and I felt that these were people I’d really like to get to know and work with. As with John and all the others at YakAttack, Patrick is a fan of kayaks and fishing. He has a beautiful girlfriend of 8 years, Hannah, with whom he is not afraid to get crazy on the dance floor.
