We met October of 2010 at a friends house. Jeramy watched Rachel walk in and Rachel noticed him. She even asked her sister Ashley who he was and Ashley responded “Oh that’s Jeramy, he’s like my brother”. There was a definite connection because even though they didn't get off to a great start they ended the night talking and leaving on good terms. Go forward to December of 2010 the night of our friend Brittany’s birthday. Rachel went to dinner with Brittany and some friends (Jeramy’s sister Chalese was there). After dinner they went to the Bull shed for some karaoke and dancing. Jeramy had a regular routine of singing at the Bull shed and was there that same night. As soon as Rachel sat down she heard Jeramy singing on the mic and asked Brittany who she was? She instantly wanted to meet him. "I still remember being up singing and looking over to see her sitting with our group of friends" says Jeramy. "That black dress! She followed him outside and initiated the conversation that changed their lives forever. The two instanly became great friends and 2 weeks later as they were traveling to Oklahoma together Jeramy said “I know you”. That’s when they realized they had met a few months before but God brought them back together again!

It was Rachel’s dads birthday at Tahoe Joes. We were all finishing up dinner and in walks Jeramy. He had been on the phone asking Jon for his blessing hours before. “The next thing I knew Jeramy was bending down asking me to marry him. I was in complete shock I couldn’t even say anything” says Rachel.

March 28th 2012 Jeramy and Rachel got married the day before Jeramy had to leave offshore for work. The time was 1:00 pm at Morro Bay beach by the big rock. The only guests at the wedding were Aiden and Jeramy’s cousin JC. We said we would have our ceremony for our 10 year Wedding Anniversary and that day is almost here!

Rachel and Jeramy have moved across the country and back a couple of times over the years. They have endured months separated due to Jeramy's jobs. They have fought the hard times together and have made a priority to love through them all. Rachel and Jeramy, brought two amazing boys into this world. Aiden Howard McAbee is going to be 10 yrs old in September. He is every bit of his fathers image. Singing, dancing and joke loving clone. If you need a laugh just ask Aiden and he'll come up with something on the spot. He is also an amazing artist! He has his mothers sensitive soul and kind heart. Simon David McAbee, is going to be 7 yrs old in February. He loves to run with his friends and gives the best hugs around. He is a fire cracker of energy, jumping, running, and laughing. He loves karate and wants to be a fireman when he grows up. His favorite character is Mickey Mouse and he loves to collect different stuffed animals! Rachel and Jeramy have made it a priority to have Jesus at the center of their lives and because of that we can proudly say; “We still do”.
