Maid of Honor
Elise is my little sister, my closest confidant and my forever friend whether she wants me or not. We might be polar opposites in many ways, but our love for one another will never waver. Even as I text her my fully thought out plans for my bachelorette, bridal shower and book our airbnbs, she still loves me. She accepts me for my extreme planning and I accept her for bringing the spontaneity to the events. I’m so honored to have her as my Maid of Honor on my big day.

Even though I met Steph my Sophomore year of college, our friendship truly blossomed the beginning of Junior year when we were in class together every day all day long (hello, COB 300). I may have really thrown her off by giving her a huge hug the first day of class because 1) I’m not a hug person and 2) she thought I hated her, but that’s been one of the best hugs I’ve given because it led to a life long friendship. We have traveled to many amazing places with each other and I can’t wait to see more parts of the world with her by my side!

Danielle and I met our Junior year at James Madison University while doing homework in the business building before our accounting class. The people we were with both knew each other, but our friendship grew stronger over the semester. That summer we spent our hard earned internship dollars going out to happy hours and dinner and drinks with Danielle’s then boyfriend (now husband) and friends. Through many birthday trips and vacations, we have remained close as she and Dillon moved around with the Air Force. Now with Dillon and Danielle back in Northern Virginia, I can’t wait to make many more memories together!
Bridesmaid
Jenn and I met when she rushed my co-ed business fraternity my Junior year at James Madison University. I quickly befriended her while she was rushing because we were so similar (both accounting majors and short - that’s about all you needed in college to befriend someone, right?). I was her Big who gave her weekly presents until the end of rush, but fooled her the entire time because she didn’t know it was me! Once I got to know her better, I knew we would be lifelong friends. Jenn is always up for anything, whether it’s hanging out on my couch eating ice cream, going to beer festivals or going to concerts, I know she’ll be down.
Bridesmaid
Even though, Jen and I had met through Steph in our Junior year, we became really close when I moved into the apartment she and Steph lived in our Senior year at James Madison University. I was the new girl and she made me feel like I had always lived there. We quickly bonded over our love of beer and exercise and continued our friendship into our Grad school year (Jen in Education and me in Accounting) - sorry Steph! Even though she lives in Charleston, SC with her cute little family, (but who doesn’t love to have an excuse to visit somewhere as gorgeous as Charleston?!) our friendship has continued with many visits.
Bridesmaid
Hannah is the lone bridesmaid (other than Elise) that I didn’t meet at JMU - even though she did go to JMU for her accounting grad year! We met when I started my first big girl job at RSM in McLean, VA. Hannah was what RSM called a “Navigator”, which really meant someone who would answer your stupid questions in your first busy season like “When is it appropriate to ask when we are leaving work tonight?” or “What am I supposed to wear to busy season Saturdays?” We immediately bonded over our love for roof top bars and tried to go to as many as we could! I was very sad when Hannah told me she was leaving RSM and moving back home to Pittsburgh, but thanks to google chat, it’s like she never left and I still ask her all of my accounting questions whether she likes it or not!
