Brooklin is known for the annual 4th of July Parade and Barbecue. The crowd gathers at the center of town (by the Brooklin General Store) starting at 9 to listen to the town band. The parade comes through at 10, and everyone follows the end of the parade to the Brooklin Town Green for games and barbecued chicken.

Stonington, Maine is the lobster capital of the world. The Town has over one hundred and eighty lobster boats in the fleet. Stonington Ice Cream Company buys lobsters early each morning from the Stonington Lobster Co-op down the street from our kitchen. Stonington Ice Cream Company serves sixteen flavors of delicious ice cream but is also acclaimed for its award-winning lobster rolls. It offers a menu of special sandwiches, lobster and crab quiches and salads, summer soups, and brownies and cookies. Tables are located on the deck at the edge of Stonington harbor and take-away is available.
Situated on the southern end of the Blue Hill Peninsula in the Town of Brooklin, Naskeag Point is one of the prettiest harbors in Maine. This area has an interesting history and a proud tradition of boat building. It is home to a public boat launch and a memorial park. Naskeag Peninsula was once a center of fishing and canning industries, with several factories lining the shores of Brooklin harbors. Today, it is a popular destination for kayakers, visitors, and wildlife enthusiasts who can enjoy the views of islands, seals, porpoises, eagles, and other seabirds.

Harriman Point is a 138-acre preserve comprises the majority of Harriman Point, a scenic peninsula in Brooklin. It boasts spectacular views east across Blue Hill Bay to the summits of Mount Desert Island and west across Allen Cove.
