Evan and Rachel first met (unofficially) on Evan's first day of grad school, and the first day of Rachel's last semester of grad school at The Ohio State University in August 2022. Evan was ever focused on his studies and Rachel was completely awestruck at Evan's existence, so naturally neither one introduced themselves to each other - for the entire semester! Rachel later found out Evan was trying to get her attention each day after class, but she was too nervous to stop and say hello. Finally in December 2022, Evan and Rachel were both out at Zeno's, a local bar, with mutual friends from Evan's cohort. Neither knew the other was going to show up, but both were pleasantly surprised when Evan walked in the front door and the only open seat was right next to Rachel! Rachel mustered up the best pick up line she could think of: "Your head is blocking the score, can you scoot over?". Luckily Evan carried the conversation from there, and haven't left each other's side since. Fast forward almost 3 years later and they share two dogs, a home, and are a triple-Buckeye household.
